Welcome to Cozy Cottage in the Woods. This is a private guest cottage surrounded by trees and the peaceful sounds of the country. Enjoy a quiet nap, time around the fire pit, or take a short drive to Wedowee for a burger, glass of wine, or a night of music. If time on the water is important you can take advantage of local boat rentals or bring your own boat and access one of the many public launches. Like to fish? You can do that too, and there is parking for boat/trailer at the cottage!

We are located in a quiet farming/agriculture community just 10 minutes from the town center of Lake Wedowee which is soon to become your favorite getaway. It boasts cute shops, BBQ, Winery, Boat rentals, homemade ice cream, amazing coffee and true Southern Hospitality.
We are close to Oxford, Al and Carrollton, GA where you will find Target, Hobby Lobby, Chic-Fil-A, eateries, movie theaters and entertainment.

For the outdoor adventurist, the Little Fox Creek at Lake Wedowee trail is a moderate level hike that has lake views most of the way.
Another option is a scenic drive to Cheaha State Park in the Talladega National forest. There are several great hiking trails, the "Alabama Highest Point" bunker/observation tower at 2407 ft and the 1/4 mile Baldrock trail (an elevated boardwalk through the forest). This is a handicap accessible walk to a lookout point with several benches along the way.
