This spacious bedroom with exclusive use of the large family bathroom, set in a beautiful Victorian terraced house can accommodate 3 people comfortably (2+1 or 3 single). Really close to vibrant Narborough Road it is very convenient for LCFC King Power Stadium, Leicester Tigers Welford Road, De Montfort Uni and the city centre. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen-dinner. Muriel speaks French and some Spanish and will happily give you tips to make your trip brillant and comfortable.
The bedroom is large enough to work or relax, and very comfortable for a family of 3 or three singles.
The day bed is configured which ever way suits you, you just let me know before you arrive. It can be a single, a King size or two single beds. The 3rd bed is a very comfortable fold out with real pillows and bedding.
The bedroom is at the front of the house so gets lots of lovely light through the bay windows, which are double glazed to keep street noise and winter chill out.
The bathroom is large with a roll top bath and very good shower and is for exclusive use of the guests.
* Children 2 years and over are considered to be an extra person and will be charged as extras so please do your enquiry with the correct number of people.
* Maximum occupancy is 3 people due to local regulations and this is not negotiable (including infants).
Make yourself at home and use the house as if it were your own :-)
You are welcome to use the kitchen if you want to cook for yourself (there are small supermarkets just round the corner), otherwise there are dozens of restaurants to satisfy every taste right on your doorstep (Indian, Chinese, Turkish, East European, African, Japanese, Greek, Jamaican and French, English, Italian, Mexican, American a bit further afield).
The spacious bathroom has a separate shower and Victorian style rolled top bath. It is shared with myself.
Feel free to go into the garden (if you are a smoker, you must! :-) filled with mature plants and a few herbs to add to your cooking. There are garden chairs and a table in the shed.
Beware the old wooden bench is a bit delicate so not to be used as a trampoline...☺.
The lounge is mostly my space as that is where my reflexology clinic is.
Interaction with guests
I will give you as much privacy as you want, but I am also happy to have a chat and share a coffee or a glass of wine. I dont have a TV so I listen to music and the radio a lot. I'm very interested to hear stories about where people come from and always keen to discover new musical talents.
I love my city. If you need, I will share my tips about the best places to eat, drink or visit and what to do in Leicester. And, I am proud to say, I am a keen Leicester City FC fan :-)
Any help you need to make your stay comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable, I will be very happy to provide if I can.
If you prefer finding your own way around, that's fine too.
It's your stay, feel free.
Other things to note
I am a professional Reflexologist practicing part time from home in the front room on the ground floor. When the dividing curtain is closed and therapy music is playing, please be mindful there is a client. I am also happy to book you in for a treatment. I offer guests a one hour session at the special rate of £30 or £15 for a 30mn taster session. Look up West End Therapies.
I don't really like rules but it goes without saying that you should treat the space and the house with respect, and leave everything as you found it.
I have re-carpeted upstairs so please leave outdoor shoes and food on the ground floor and be very careful not to spill anything on the carpet. If you do, please tell me.
If you use the kitchen, please wash up afterwards. I don’t mind if you leave things to dry in the drainer but put whatever is in there away before adding to it.
No pets preferably, unless they can stay in the garden. I'm allergic to cats.
If you smoke, do so only in the garden using ashtrays provided, but not in the house.
The last person to use the shower please use the squidgy to wipe the doors down afterwards.
I like to recycle as much as possible: there is a red bin in the kitchen for recycling. All paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, glass can all be put in it.
Please no food in the bedroom or upstairs. You’re welcome to use the kitchen.
Please keep the front door double locked at all times. It is old and sometimes opens by itself…
Please turn the lights off before going to bed, except the one by the window in the kitchen. It is on a timer and comes on and off twice a day.
Have a look at my A-Z to the house in your folder but if you need anything, just ask me
Thank you very much for your consideration :)
I'm from Leicester and love traveling. Accommodation is important but experiences, more so. I have been to a fair few places round the world and am now a host in my own home providing a comfortable, beautiful room in a convenient location to access Leicester and all it has to offer.
I am a trained reflexologist, practice yoga, love the outdoors as well as the bustle of cities and a good dance! There is nothing I can't live without, apart from love, friends... although, life without wine might be a bit dull. But I manage with anything, anywhere.
My life motto: if you don't like something change it. If you can't change it, change the way you think about it: life now, not yesterday or tomorrow.
