We had a wonderful time at Elvira's place. Situated right at a beautiful lake with a stunning view, the location made us unwind the moment we got there. Our children spent hours playing in the garden and on the peer. The hut was cozy, however really more fit for two people than for four ;) Both Elvira and Orlando are uniquely warmhearted people and looked after us so well during our time. All in all, a place that is surely worth a second visit.

This is an honest review, First of all, the advert for this chalet was very misleading and dishonest. The place was advertised for four people and that's why it came up into my search when I was looking for a place for four people- But it seems that she was advertising the two chalets that she owns as one place which we thought was one. The coordinates that were given to us were wrong and we ended up walking in s motorway for an hour and we were still 56 minutes away from the chalet in the middle of no where!! When we arrived, it was the most filthy and dirty place I have ever been to and no human being will sleep in that absolutely dirty bed - we paid for cleaning and we were supposed to have washed clean bed sheets. There was hair and crumbs all over the bed! The other 'bed' given was a hammock with again very dirty bed sheets and it smelt horrible! No third bed was put as she claimed in one of her reply to me. It is hammock with a dirty sheet on it and the rest of the cover were right on the floor!! The Fridge is full of mouldy and gone off food and there was no sink on our side!! Lots of dirty dishes filled all the working station and even the other family we met told us that they were shocked with the level of dirtiness and rubbish they found but at least someone came and did some clearing out for them. No working light in the room just bed side lambs placed on the floor and the toilet is a shared toilet which didn't even have a lock so people have to stand as a guard for each other while they are using it!! The safety level is even worse! You can push the door and you get it open so no secure locking from the main entrance and at individual rooms! Also, Pisa had a lot of rain and electricity got cut off and no one knew what's was going on until they found out this caused by an old rusty cooker as it got wet ( reported to us). Would have loved to enjoy nature but we kind expecting clean living conditions and secure place at least. Would have been ok if they had washed bed sheets, clean floor, fridge, work station and a good door lock and secure electricity supply For anyone who would like to have just the basic necessities for human living this is not the place for you at all! We spend five hours looking again for another place to stay. We spent 9 days in Italy and also our booking with Air b& b and they all met our expectation except this one . Be aware that the chalet was out of the city so no telephone service at all - so we had to get the bus and...

We really enjoyed the stay at Elviras Chalet - a very calm and relaxing place! Close to the City Center and to the beach - exactly what we were looking for!

This place is amazing. My boyfriend and i stayed for 3 days, and it was magical. Looks and feels like a little hippy cabin by the lake. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful. There's an amazing restaurant 3 doors down called Retone136 and i had the most amazing pasta there. Very friendly staff. Travel is easy, there's a bus to pisa centrale and also a bus that will take you straight to the beach (marina di pisa). If you don't have much money you could still get along there because no one really pays for the bus, just walk on and pretend you're a local. You can catch your own fish and cook it on the bbq. If you take the bus to marina, you can go to a coop.fi and get so many huge bottles of wine for 2.5€!? I recommend this place if nature is your thing and you don't want to be living in the busy tourist areas

The lodge is ten minutes from Pisa center and the same to Marina di Pisa by bus. It is a cozy place directly at the river. You should like the nature and not expect something luxury. The kitchen was a little dirty and the bathroom is very small and it is outside of the lodge. We arrived very late in the evening but it was no problem for Elvira. They were waiting for us. At night, it was still very cold inside the lodge but they have a heater. It is a nice place to relax and get away from the city noise. With warm regards!

Our stay at Elriva's place was wonderful. We wanted a get away off the tourist track to relax, and enjoy the local lifestyle. The setting is perfect! It's picturesque, basic and calming. We enjoyed our time at the site, and it was easy to get out and about too. The local people were very friendly and helped us to find Elvira, who was kind enough to pick us up on our arrival. We were able to use the fishing net so we enjoyed catching and BBQ fish and sitting out in the evening talking and playing games. We were off the grid, and glad to be. Thanks Elriva!
