A bright and cozy private room awaits you in the heart of Portland's Hawthorne District. While only a few minutes to downtown, you may find yourself not wanting to leave the neighborhood. An easy stroll takes you to Hawthorne, Division, and Belmont.
This fully remodeled 1906 bungalow is a great place to stay while visiting the Republic of Portlandia. Your sunny comfortable room offers easy access to the welcoming front porch which is a great place to read or drink your morning coffee. The room is stylish, well-appointed and comfortably accommodates 1 - 2 guests with a full-size bed.
You have access to most areas of the home including the living and dining rooms, washer/dryer, a well-appointed kitchen. There is one shared washroom/shower but nice bathrobes are provided to make you comfortable traveling around your private space and the shared facilities.
Interaction with guests
I live alone and will regularly be working, traveling or out enjoying Portland myself, so you may often find that you have the entire place to yourself! However, I enjoy meeting visitors so just let me know if you're up for a pub crawl of the local microbreweries.
I recently adopted 2 energetic teenage kittens but they are NEVER allowed in the guestroom. Otherwise there are no eclectic roommates or children around to make you wish you'd stayed elsewhere. ;-)
I am a laid back guy but do like to keep the place in good order so I ask that you pick up after yourself in the shared areas.
I would rather you not have any wild parties but let me know if you want to have a few folks over to BBQ or sip porch beers.
I ask that you be reasonably quiet after 10pm on weeknights but please feel free to always come and go as you like.
No pets please.
Outdoor smoking is totally fine - just let me know and I'll break out the ashtray.
