Just outside Kampala, situated on top of a beautiful hill sits the Social Innovation Academy (SINA), which empowers marginalized youth to create their own businesses. One of them is the SINA Village with comfortable traditional huts for you.
It is up to you to have a quiet time, escaping from the hectic Kampala or to get involved in the SINA community, building houses out of plastic bottles, taking workshops, getting to experience the local villages around and interact with Ugandans.

We offer a safe and peaceful environment! We provide free WIFI Internet and the chance to get to know SINA from within.
Since we are on a hill (and surrounded by hills) mountain bike rental is possible, as well as kite rental. board games, football, volleyball and frisbee are provided for free.
– We are 6km away from Mpanga Forest Eco Tourism Site and 40 Km to the equator line.
– We can arrange for you a birdwatching tour to see the Shoebill and other rare bird species at Mabamba swamp.
Interaction with guests
We do not just offer a beautiful place to stay with amazing scenery and a peaceful environment. You can learn how upcycling works, how to create houses from plastic bottles, roofs from car tires, flooring from plastic bags and egg shells, briquettes out of bio mass, jewelry from plastic waste, etc. We are welcoming your ideas as well! You will get to experience the SINA community of young changemaker, who are working on creating social enterprises!
For as long as you stay, you will be part of our family and we can share and learn from each other.

Other things to note
We do not have an official reception but people from SINA are there to attend to you at all times. Anyone will be able to welcome you and assist you. The latest time you can find public transport from Kampala to Mpigi is 8:30pm (no problem) or 9pm (with a risk of having missed the last one already). The latest time you can find a bodaboda in Mpigi is around 10:30pm to 11pm.
If you arrive at night self-driving, talk to our night guard, he will direct you or wake up the right person to assist you.
