The G-Place Chalet is as luxurious as it is cozy and comfortable. Enjoy your cottage vacation with up to eight people on a pristine lake with the finer things like a gourmet kitchen, hi-fi stereo, indoor fireplace, baby grand piano, pool table, screened porch, hammocks, hot-tub, outdoor shower, outdoor fire pit, paddle boat, kayak, dock, and beach. Perfect for families!

The space

The G-Place Chalet is situated on an incredibly beautiful, spring-fed lake in the north Gatineau region. With no public boat access, the lake is relatively quiet with neighbours often waving as they cruise by on their pontoon boats and mobile docks.

We know it as "the cottage" but it has all of the amenities of a luxury home and has something for everyone: budding chefs, beach-lovers, music aficionados, outdoor enthusiasts, fishers, gamers, and those who just want to relax.

Start your day by freshening up in the private outdoor shower, taking in a breath of fresh air. Prepare breakfast in the gourmet kitchen and enjoy your meal on the deck overlooking the lake. Turn on the tunes and head down to the lower deck to relax on the lounge chairs, then cool off with a dip in the lake. If you're feeling energetic, you can play a spirited game of badminton or throw the frisbee around. For some quiet time, take out the kayak or paddle boat and go fishing, or maybe you'd prefer to grab your book and curl up on a hammock in the shade. When the sun starts to set, slip into the hot tub to get the evening started right. Once your appetite hits, grill up some grub on the BBQ and have a delicious meal by candlelight in the screened porch. Finish up the evening by the piano, or head to the games room for some billiards, foosball, darts and music.

Lather, rinse, repeat!

The house is a fabulous place for a quiet vacation. And the lake is so beautiful. Be sure to stock up on food before you settle in---the nearest supermarket is 1/2 hour away.

If you're looking for the perfect cottage getaway with friends/family, this is the place. The hosts (Dave, Lorraine, and Daniel) were stellar with regard to communication, and their expansive, yet homey cottage, has ALL the amenities: great hot tub set-up, paddle boat, pool table, foosball, fishing boat, pool noodles, xbox, giant-size dinning table (we're hardcore board gamers, so this was BIG plus), a ceiling fan in every room, a kitchen with everything (a grinder, and filters included for the coffee ...we're also hardcore coffee nuts, so this was the 2nd BIG plus). Make sure to bring your own badminton rackets if that's your thing, but aside from that ...everything you can imagine is provided! Beautiful views from the deck, and gorgeous lake. You won't be disappointed.

Our stay at this beautiful chalet was exquisite - everything about the chalet and the property has been so well thought out. My son loved the kayak and we all enjoyed the lake itself for swimming and boating. It truly is a pristine, clear lake and the sandy shoreline was perfect for playing in shallow water. It was lovely to have a choice to have our meals outside on the deck or inside at the large table in the back room - with lots of light and fresh air. During the evenings, we would have a fire in the fireplace or in the fire pit, as the weather has been cooler this year. David, Dan and Lorraine actively kept the communication open and were always available if we had any questions. This is a chalet that was obviously built with love and is still very loved by the Gussins. We thank them for allowing us to create our own beautiful memories in their place this Summer.

Spectacular summer home on a pretty little lake. An eclectic blend of rustic and elegance. It certainly has all the amenities and luxuries one could hope for and yet well away from the hustle and bustle. A perfect retreat for couples or families.

This weekend was by far the best cottage experience that my group of friends has had to date. Everything about the cottage was as described or better! Dave, Lorraine, and Daniel were incredibly organized, sending details about their place in advance. They were also very reliable in communication, answering questions very quickly. There had been a very minor issue with the hot tub prior to our visit, and they let us know well in advance, how to work around the issue, and exactly when they would be able to get it fixed (along with leaving us a wonderful gift for our trouble). Their location is also very pet friendly. We arrived with three dogs who absolutely loved the great beach and dock that the dogs adored. A final thing I wanted to make note of, this cottage is VERY well equipped. The kitchen was well stocked with every conceivable appliance, pots, pans, place settings, etc. Anything you could think of, they had. I could go on forever about how much we loved our trip this year!

I would recommend this place to anyone and already have. The Chalet is stunning. My husband, dog and myself stayed for four nights and loved every minute! There was so many enjoyable things offered here. We loved the many decks you could sit back and relax on. The piano was lots of fun to play. The music and classic records, we really enjoyed listening to inside and outside. The dock was also beautiful and our dog loved running into the sandy beach and going for a swim everyday. They also had a bonfire set up which was also lots fun! I could go on and on about how fantastic this place is but I think you need to experience it for yourself, you will not be disappointed! The hosts were also great and kept in touch with us while we were there if we had any questions! They have everything extremely well organized and a great manual explaining how everything works so everything was easy to use! We loved our stay and hope to return again next year! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home! The Mason Family

Hi, we're the Gussins! We're a laid-back family who loves the cottage life and entertaining. We absolutely adore cooking, enjoying some drinks, listening to music, relaxing by the water, and exploring all that the world has to offer. When we travel we often stray from the tourist traps and instead venture off the beaten path, finding cool places to rent, outdoor fun and wildlife. We love meeting new people, and we're looking forward to meeting you as well. Enjoy our home away from home!
