Modern eco-flat with plenty of natural light and full view of a reservoir and its wildlife. A peaceful and beautiful space rare to find only 10minutes from Kings Cross-St Pancras International, 15mins from Oxford St and 20mins from Victoria by tube.
Wake up to the chirping of birds instead of the sounds of the city in the middle of London! This fourth floor flat (served by an elevator) has full view over a reservoir and its wildlife (herons, foxes, geese, swans, etc.). Such peacefulness, beauty and clean air are a rare find in London's Zone 2, only 10 minutes from Kings Cross-St Pancras International, 15 minutes from Oxford St and 20 minutes from Victoria by underground.
The flat has plenty of natural light, a modern feel with continuous soft white bamboo flooring, floor to ceiling minimalist folding doors, and an eco-friendly, organic concept.
There is only one guest room for one to two people, or a couple with a baby or young child, with a futon matress (with a memory foam topper for a soft feel over a firm sleep) on a normal height base with flexible wooden-slats -this is a folding base, which allows you to make more space if desired (for example if you want to do some yoga or other exercise in your room). There is a seat by the window, a closet with shelves and drawers, and full length space with hangers for your use.
The living room has a working fireplace and a lovely balcony with Truelawn luxury grass, two chairs and a table, to have a meal and catch the sun from morning to dawn -sunsets here are worth waiting for : )
FREE English tea, coffee and biscuits.
Bed linens, towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner included.
Bathroom with shower and bathtub -separate toilet.
Kitchen with integrated washer-dryer and fridge-freezer, hob, oven, dish-washer, toaster, kettle, pots/pans and all necessary kitchen utensils to prepare your meals.
Ironing board and iron.
Living room with functioning fireplace.
Shared garden with table, benches and bbq.
Children's play area.
Other things to note
Perfect both for a business trip or social visit.
There is a marina at the other side of the reservoir if you fancy kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, rowing or sailing, though just watching from the flat is very relaxing -and fun on a windy day.
There is also a castle that is used for indoor and outdoor climbing and abseiling -no prior experience required as instructors (and equipment) are available.
It is possible to walk or run around the reservoir too, and on very hot days there are people who swim in it.
I am English-Spanish bilingual, speak French, Portuguese and understand Italian.
No smoking (except in the balcony).
Leave shoes at the entrance, please -I have slippers for everyone.
Leave thing as you've found them.
Treat my home with care as if it was your own.
I'm happy to socialise or just give useful tips about places outside the regular tourist circuit (but more interesting) to visit -if welcomed.
My style of hosting is warm and facilitative but respectful of people's preferences around sharing and privacy.
I am outgoing, positive and active. I enjoy spending time meeting people, exploring the world and the beauty of nature, appreciating food from all the continents and art (particularly music, theatre, film and photography).
I also enjoy my job as Senior Lecturer and engaging in Community Psychology and action for social justice.
