Kathy's place, and her hospitality, are wonderful! We felt right at home. My partner and I stayed for two weeks and definitely enjoyed the quiet reprieve of Manoa and the gorgeous view from the lanai. I am a student at UH and the location is also very convenient for a long stroll to class, or an easy bus ride to campus. The public transport could be convenient for anyone without a car. Kathy is kind, considerate, communicative, and we really enjoyed her. Her knowledge of food and nutrition is inspiring! We would definitely stay with Kathy again. Thank you so much!

It was so wonderful stay at Kathy's house. Since I love Manoa, I booked her place. Thanks for her lovely hospitality, I love Manoa more than before. Kathy is very friendly, kind, and has great attitudes to challenge! I respect her spirit. The room I stayed is nice. All the stuff that I need was prepared. Even she putted flowers in the bath room nicely. Also, the kitchen is perfect so that I could cook anything I like. I was happy to have meals with her at lanai sometime. I could see Waikiki from there and also saw beautiful night view. Kathy is like a dictionary about Hawaii so that I could know many things from the history to foods, plants, and so on. The neighbors are also nice and the area is very calm and peaceful. It's a hilly place and takes more than 20 minutes on foot to Manoa Marketplace, and about 80 minutes on foot to Waikiki. Thank you so much Kathy, and I am sure to visit you again!

Kathy's house is the perfect compromise of being close to nature and close to the city (15min by car). While Kathy had to be away for work for the most part of our trip, she made us feel at home from the very beginning. We would glady come back again, the house is surrounded by her beautiful plants and flowers and it's up a hill with a beautiful view to the city. Kathy is a super sweet host, she really represent the Aloha spirit of Hawaii.

Response from Kathy:
Hi Jason..hope you had a safe trip home. Thank you for the critic. I asked Charlie about the smell and he thought it may have been the ripening breadfruit and bananas . I am so sorry. I know that the smell can be very strong. If it was something else please let me know so that I can correct the situation. Take good care. aloha, kathy

Quiet accommodation. Perfect place to rest. Kathy is always warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for researchers who have to go to Manoa UH campus.

Kathy is a wonderful, kind host. Her home is beautiful and located in a quiet area yet still close to the downtown area. She baked a delicious batch of cookies to welcome us! Would definitely recommend Kathy's home to anyone visiting Oahu!

We stayed at Kathy's house last year and we had such a wonderful time that we came back this year. Kathy is a gracious and accommodating hostess and went out of her way to make our stay special. We recommend her place to one and all.
