This unique wagon is a cozy place to relax and be completely surrounded by nature. There is no electricity or running water but it is located near creeks, hiking trails, and old logging roads. It is located about a 1/2 mile from our check-in office/parking. Cars are not allowed at the camping sites, and parking is available at the main office. You can either rent an authorized vehicle or we will provide transportation only once at check in and once at check out.

The space
The Gypsy Vardo is unlike anything you'll find in Helen, Georgia. This camper mixed with some gypsy flair will provide you a cozy dwelling in nature and an unusual place to stay while you explore the area. Please be aware that there is no water or electricity. Sometimes in summer months it still be very warm at night! The vardo is in a remote location. Commercial vehicles are not allowed at the site. You must leave your car at our main office and then either hike in or rent a golf cart for travel to and from the vardo

Guest access
Guests cannot drive their car to the vardo. Parking is available in a gravel lot at our main office. We will transport guests once upon check-in and once at check-out. Any other time you must walk. You also have the option to rent a golf cart from us to drive back and forth.

Other things to note
The Vardo is located about a 1/2 mile from our check-in office/parking. We will provide transportation once at check-in and once at check-out during regular check-in times. We have golf carts for rent and maps to get you to downtown Helen from your campsite using our back roads.

Guests need to bring pillows and sleeping bags. They are not provided. All that is provided is the shelter and mattresses.

This is just like camping except instead of a tent you are using our shelter. Plan to bring any supplies you would need if you were camping.

Upon arrival everyone in the party will sign a waiver agreeing to safety information and rules of lodging on the premises.

Tents can be pitched next to the vardo for an extra $10 per tent.

Late check-in without making prior arrangements will cost $20 each hour after 5 p.m. Please let us know if you will be arriving after hours so we can make arrangements for you.
