The space

A great location for a stay in London, with excellent transport links. We’re just down the hill from historic Highgate and Hampstead and Europe's largest street market, Camden Lock, is just down the road. Five minutes walk from tube and then 15 minutes to Soho, Oxford Street or The National Gallery. Kentish Town is located in Zone 2 (northern line) and there are numerous buses too. Hampstead Heath is a few bus stops away as is Regent’s Park and London Zoo. Euston station, Kings Cross / St Pancras International (Eurostar) are all 15 minutes away.
Heathrow airport - 1 hour 20 minutes on the underground. Gatwick & other airports are all easily accessible. Taxis to Heathrow, Gatwick & Parking is not free but if give us your registration details and are happy to pay we can book it for you online. There are several vehicle hire and taxi companies close by.

Guest access

Guests have use of a beautiful bathroom but if you want to bath/shower in the morning, we need to agree times the night before? There’s a second WC. Guests can have fridge space by agreement. There is TV, hairdryer & iron in your room. All bed linen (crisp white sheets) & towels will be provided. Just ask if you need anything extra.

Coffee & tea provided. Smoking is OK but only in the garden, please.

Sara and Rod are warm and welcoming hosts who offer a lovely room in a quiet but convenient oasis. They served a simple but welcome and relaxed breakfast with the home made bread mentioned in other reviews exceeding its star billing. My wife , who eats relatively little bread, devoured nearly half a loaf which I think says it all. We will certainly be back if the opportunity presents itself.

We were delighted as soon as we arrived on the street of our air b&b. Kentish Town is stunning, and Sara & Rods house is cosy and welcoming! We Slept like logs and were welcomed by a delicious breakfast, with home made bread. Sara & Rod are very welcoming hosts, we felt very at home. Thank you for having us! Gem & Kylie xx

We have stayed several times at the house of Sara and Rod and enjoyed it every time. Their hospitality is great, the house is nice and the location is also excellent.

Sara's house is warm light and very welcoming. My room was large and comfortable and had everything I needed. Fresh red dahlias on the table were also much appreciated. Lovely breakfast and good company from husband Rod who shared his newspaper with me. It was a business trip. Staying at Sara's meant I could walk to my workplace on Holloway Road saving me the stress of a very early rise and enduring the early morning rush. Much appreciated.

This is our third visit and it gets better every time! One of the many pleasures is the charming garden where Rupert Brooke may have once lain and, flower-lulled in sleepy grass, heard the cool lapse of hours pass. The experience has recently been enhanced by the enlightened decision to demolish an ancient crumbling wall giving a greater sense of space and allowing a soft southerly breeze to permeate the flower beds.

Response from Sara:
It is good of you to offer to re-build the wall .I have no doubt however, that mixing the sand and cement will prevent the lapse of hours from being cool Still, never mind . No lulling in the sleepy grass please .
