Where you’ll be

Tuai, Wairoa, New Zealand

Originally built last century for the dairyman to serve the power station community, this house became our holiday home and currently our primary home about 10 years ago. We are located ten minutes drive from one end of the Lake Waikaremoana Great Walk. High on a hill, the house overlooks the village of Tuai and Lake Whakamarino. Sitting on the deck, you can imagine that you are in the middle of the bush as there are no houses visible - peace and relaxation abound.

Leon and I are semi-retired people who - unexpectedly - find ourselves living up near Lake Waikaremoana, a place of great contentment and great fishing. Our working lives have revolved around the care of children and young people and this environment allows Leon plenty of time for writing. We have lived in USA, Europe, the Middle East and - best of all - New Zealand. We continue to enjoy travelling, particularly to visit our grandchildren in Colorado. Although our house is compact, guests can be as social or as private as they wish.
