Jessica is a wonderful host. Very responsive and approachable. The apartment had an old world charm. It was very clean.Had all the amenities that is needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect. It was quite near to the French quarter yet far enough from the hustle bustle of the city. Would definitely stay here if we ever visit again!

My husband, toddler and I stayed in Jessica's apartment for a wedding weekend. We couldn't have been happier with the place, which exudes New Orleans style with high ceilings, natural light and funky garden. Jessica was awesome at communicating with us, even making sure our wine preferences were noted. Can't wait to stay here the next time we're in NOLA!

The location was excellent. We went down for Jazzfest at the fairgrounds and were in a good walkable location to the fairgrounds and tothe French Quarter. Although it was close to many things it still was relatively secluded and quiet. The apartment was beautiful and fully stocked with everything we would have needed. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We had an excellent stay at Jessica's renovated older home in Treme. The place was spacious with high ceilings in every room. Though the original closet is small, with the addition of well-placed antiques there is ample space (and hangers) to hang and store all your clothing and necessities. The full kitchen has a new gas stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher with plenty of dishes, pots & pans and cooking accessories. She left us a generous basket of goodies and an assortment of alcoholic beverages - local beers, wine & hard sodas that were a delightful surprise bonus. The furnishings were lovely, good lighting, overhead fans in every room and two A/C and heating units to keep the space comfortable no matter what the season. The bathroom had a lovely shower and old-fashioned multi paned windows to the ceiling that let in a glorious amount of light (Jessica provide practically any toiletry that one might need). Windows in the other living spaces had light-blocking curtains and blinds for those who like to sleep-in on vacation. We were less than a 10 minute bike ride from the Jazz Fest and close to downtown, the French Quarter and within biking distance to the Garden District. The backyard was a little treasure with beautiful vegetation, fairy lights, large trees and multiple seating possibilities. There is a laundry room & a covered patio are with picnic table and chairs. Jessica allowed us to bring our rented bikes into the backyard so that we could ensure their safety and offered us helmets and bug spray and sunblock for all our outings. We would definitely stay here again, it had everything we needed (including umbrellas) plus the feel of being in a real New Orleans neighborhood that is reviving since the disaster of Katrina. In watching the documentary, "When the Levees Broke" by Spike Lee and the HBO series "Treme" while we were in New Orleans, we were able to recognize landmarks in this neighborhood that were devastated and since reborn. All in all we had a fantastic stay with a very generous & gracious hostess.

Had an awesome stay, couldn't have asked for anything more. Jessica was super prompt with communication, even checking in with us a couple days before our trip. She was there to greet us and give us the basic rundown on the place, a few recommendations, etc. And the great communication continued when we had questions during our stay. As for the place, it is just as advertised. Plenty of space, beautifully kept, tons of local info...all around awesome. You can tell how much Jessica cares about her house and making her guests feel welcome. Oh, and my wife insists that I also mention that the bed was very comfortable and the the sheets were high quality.

Update: With the exception of October, my husband and I are currently looking for long term (30+ days) renters. We're expecting our first child this December, and while we know our life is changing, we still want to offer the utmost hospitality and satisfaction to our guests. If you're looking for longer term accommodations, please contact me to let me know your needs. I'm happy to work with your budget to provide a beautiful, safe, and welcoming home for multiple months.

Hope to hear from you soon!

About me:
I first started hosting with Airbnb because it allows me to continue making repairs and improvements to my home in between guests. The extra income has been massively helpful in countering all the "surprises" that come with purchasing an older home. My home is a triplex (unusual except here in New Orleans) consisting of three separate apartments, with two smaller "shotgun-style" apartments upstairs, sometimes listed here. I live in the bottom half of the house with my husband (Kyle) and our dogs. When not researching lizards, I'm probably puttering in the garden or tackling home improvement projects. My other passions include jiu-jitsu, yoga, strength-training, and fostering dogs for the LA-SPCA.

I love New Orleans, and I love my home (even though I might never "finish" it), and I'm thrilled to be able to share it with people from around the world. Hosting through Airbnb has given me amazing opportunities to make new friends, learn about other countries, and share all the festivals, food, and culture that New Orleans has to offer.
