Furnished bell tent sleeps 3 adults in a double and single bed. We can also put in an extra camp bed for a family of 4 if the kids are under 18 years old. Sit by your outdoor firepit after exploring the beauty of Skye or relax in the comfort of your tent. Compost toilet, the unique greenhouse shower and sociable Hub and Shack are part of the off grid experience. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement only for an additional £15.
Skye Eco Bells is a unique Glamping site on the Isle of Skye. We only have 1 Bell Tent and 2 Cosy Cabins to keep the site small so you can enjoy some tranquility and time to relax and unwind whilst having a great base to explore all of Skye.
The site has no electricity or WiFi so you can really disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with the important things.......each other and the stunning natural landscape around you. However we do provide a solar powered USB charger for charging phones and cameras.
You will have your own fully furnished Bell tent which sleeps up to 3 adults or a family of 4, if the kids are under 18 years old. Each tent also has it's own fire pit and BBQ area to enjoy outdoor fires and sit under the stars with a drink or 2! Guests also have access to The Hub, a social camp kitchen that is fully kitted out for all your cooking needs and furnished in a cosy style with candle lanterns and a wood burning stove for those cooler evenings. The Shack provides additional cooking/eating space and is convenient for making that morning cup of coffee to start your day of exploring.
The site also has a unique greenhouse shower (towels not provided) and composting toilet that fit in with our eco credentials and reduce our impact upon the environment.
Interaction with guests
Either Nadia or Scott will meet you upon arrival to show you around and answer any questions. After that we will leave you to enjoy your visit but will be available around the site or by phone to give assistance or advice. We want your stay to be as enjoyable as possible so if there is anything we can do to help, please just ask. We know the island very well and are happy to share tips on places to visit, eat out etc.
Other things to note
It will take approximately 6 to 7 hours to drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh and at least 3 hours from Inverness or Fort William. Inverness or Fort William are the last opportunity to shop at a large supermarket. We don't live at the campsite so it's important for us to know your arrival time so we are able to meet you there. We ask that you call us on (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) when you reach the Skye Bridge which crosses from the mainland to the island or from the ferry terminal at Armadale, depending on which way you are travelling.
NB Mobile phone coverage is notoriously poor in the Highlands (big mountains!) There are areas of coverage but make calls when you have signal as you might not have it later. You should be able to get phone signal at Kyle of Lochalsh, where the Skye Bridge starts and at Armadale. Please let us know if you are going to arrive later than expected so we can plan ahead as the campsite is not manned all evening.
Skye Eco Bells provides a tranquil retreat for our guests and is part of a small rural community. Our neighbours are our friends so please be mindful of too much noise at night time. Thanks
The Shack & The Hub are communal spaces so it would be appreciated if you keep them tidy for others to use.
We have free range hens that are very cheeky and nosey!! If you would like to feed them just ask and we can give you some pellets to feed them. They'll be your friends forever!! :)
We have 2 horses who live in the adjacent field. Please ask Nadia or Scott if you would like to say hello to them. Please do not feed them or enter their field unaccompanied. Please note that the fence is electrified and we don't want you to get a shock!
Most important rule......Relax, chat, drink, eat good food and enjoy each others company and the beauty of Skye :)

Welcome to Skye Eco Bells Glamping!
We think it's really important to meet all our guests upon arrival so we can show you around what we view as an extension of our home. It's really appreciated that you contact us with an accurate arrival time as we don't live at the campsite. We can also advise and talk you through some great options for visiting places and great spots to eat & drink.
We have travelled all over the world and love to explore. The kind of places we stay vary greatly but what we most love is the people we stay with. We both work as well as running Skye Eco Bells and our passion is for the outdoors and the Isle of Skye, we hope you may feel the same way too. You can relax and unwind in our fully furnished bell tents each tent sleeps up to 3 and are furnished with snuggly comfortable bedding and throws with vintage and up-cycled furniture throughout. The tents are lit by cosy candle lanterns and take you back to a simpler time we are off grid so no electricity but we do have a phone charger to power up your phones so you can take lots of pics of the stunning scenery. Also is a unique gas shower and composting toilet. We also have The Hub & The Shack where you can cook, socialise and warm yourself on those cooler evenings by the stove and have a wee dram or glass of wine to talk through your adventures had and those to come.
We can direct you to some of the fantastic places on Skye and some of those lesser known beauty spots so you can fall in love with Skye too!
We look forward to meeting you
Scott & Nadia
