The space

A detached edwardian large family house off a quiet cul-de-sac well located in the historic County town of Lewes located within the South Downs National Park. Close to Brighton (15 mins by train) and London (1 hour by train).
House
Our detached Edwardian former stud farmhouse is uniquely styled and furnished, with modern touches and respect for its edwardian roots.

- Two bathrooms (one family and one ensuite to master bedroom)

- Wireless Sonos Music system ( You will need to download a free app to use this)

Large Garden with:
- swings, slide/climbing frame and tree house (all used at own risk!)

Parking:
- Parking for two cars on our driveway. (A real bonus in Lewes)
This is our family home so there are lots of toys, games, books, OS maps of the surrounding area and DVDs which you are free to use. We can make four bikes (two adults, two children's) available on request.

Guest access

You'll have access to the entire house and garden, except for the study which we use for storage.

Interaction with guests

This is our family home, so we only let it when we are away. However we will provide emergency contact details. Our parents live in the same street and will be able to assist if required.

Other things to note

We have chickens but we/my parents or a neighbour will look after them during your stay. This will mean that the garden will be accessed by someone at different times of the day to look after the chickens as needed.

We have spent many years and precious time making our house a home so please treat our family house with the same respect that you would treat your own.
No Pets
Strictly No Smoking.
As a family we try to take our shoes off by the front door and especially do not wear them upstairs.
Any damages will need to be paid for in full.
Please be respectful of our neighbours - no loud parties!
No Stag or Hen party groups
We have chickens in the garden so someone will pop in the garden everyday to check on them.

This is a comfortable family home with a generous garden to keep the kids entertained. It is walking distance to Lewes and local attractions. Ohana is a great communicator and does everything possible to make guests feel welcome, answering questions and she's on hand to assist. Her home is a no fuss, comfortable and warm space with great touches such as a plastic utensils drawer for little kids, lots of boardgames, an in-ground trampoline and tree house. Thanks for a great stay!

Ohana's home and the city of Lewes are both very special places. We were welcomed warmly by her mother and made feel at home straight away. Winterbourne House is located a secluded cul-de-sac with a beautiful garden that was absolute heaven for our four year old. Endless hours of built in babysitting were provided by a ground level trampoline and treehouse. We enjoyed numerous meals outdoors in the patio and the BBQ worked well for our party of 8. The interior was equally beautiful, tastefully decorated with lots of precious details that displayed a creative and happy family. We were within walking distance of many historic Lewes locations ( my favourite being Southover Grange Gardens). A great experience overall.

This was a perfect location for our family gathering in Lewes. The shops and restaurants can be reached in a few minutes walk and the neighbourhood is quiet and residential. The house and garden offer plenty of space, the kitchen is well equipped and it is very convenient in the morning to have two bathrooms plus a cloakroom. It really felt like home... we didn't want to leave!

A beautiful and well equipped family home with a lovely garden, the kids loved the trampoline and tree house, there is also a playground very near the house. Lewes is a very pretty town with lots of lovely cafes and shops and it is possible to walk into the centre from the house, also a very short taxi ride home from Lewes station.

This is a lovely family house where you can really feel at home. It's a great location within walking distance of the centre of Lewes but also of the South Downs Way. We loved it and would stay again in an instant.
