I generally work from home and am happy to give advice on places to go and things to do, but will give you plenty of space so you can feel at home during your stay, but am happy to chat and hang out if we're all around!

Also, my neighbor offers in-room Thai massages at 25% off to my guests. Just ask.

This is a shared space but the host was out of town so we had and enjoyed a lovely brownstone to ourselves. The space is wonderfully calming and bright. The location was perfect for our family visit just down the street. Very clean, and our host was attentive even though she was out of town. Really a great place to hang your hat! I hope to return.

Marj is a lovely host and great communicator. She hosted my parents and they couldn't have been happier. Her place is centrally located and easily accessible to trains, downtown Brooklyn, etc. Thanks Marj!

Marj is a lovely host. She is very flexible, welcoming and could help us with questions regarding the City. Blackberry is a cute cat. The room is tidy and cozy. For NY the neighborhood is quiet and well connected by metro. There are sweet little shops, cafés and supermarkets around. The Brownstone is a beautiful old house with a good spirit.

What a pleasant place to stay in New-York! We loved our vacations in Marj place! Not only the neighborhood is really nice, trendy and easy to access with plenty trains, but Marj place is great and was perfect to relax. We had access to the kitchen, a dining area and the deck, very appreciated! The room is huge (but on the street side so a bit noisy but it’s New York!!), clean, very comfy and the bed was perfect. The best is having Marj as a host, she is very friendly, very nice and always smiling. She even invited me to a trivia night! Thank you Marj for everything!!!

Very convenient to subway, easy ride over to Manhattan , long but easy public transit ride to La Guardian, host was very responsive, neighborhood had lots of restaurants, you'll get some street noise, but small fan in room will drown out with its white noise, had a good time while staying here

Thanks, Jessie! Nice to meet you both. Still sick, but getting better :)

My wife and I stayed at Marj’s Brooklyn row house for two weeks in early September. We recommend it very highly for any visit to NY city, and for a taste of the great neighborhood life in Brooklyn. Our room was large and comfortable, with a solid wifi network. We shared the bathroom with Marj, which worked out seamlessly. The bathroom is large; Marj keeps it super-clean and offers dedicated space in the cabinet for guests’ toiletries. Marj also offers common rooms for guests to use including the kitchen, dining area, a very comfortable back deck, and the washer/dryer, and she also sets aside space for guests’ food in the cabinets and refrigerator. Marj’s home is well situated on a quiet block in the Boerum Hill neighborhood with short walks (just 2 to 3 blocks) to shopping, great neighborhood restaurants, and to subways and busses. Marj is a very warm and helpful host. While her AirBnB is not a full private apartment her generosity with the rest of her home made our stay perfect. She made us feel like close friends by the end of our stay. We recommend Marj’s AirBnB very highly.

Marj is an amazing! She a chill host. And had everythiing we need and more!! Her place is one of the the most peaceful places in Brooklyn. It's also a great place to safe if you want to feel more like a resident of Brooklyn not just a visitor. I highly recommend.

Born and raised in this brownstone! Background producing children's educational media and shooting documentary, portrait and event photography. Have recently been traveling to South America and India. Who knows what's next! Father lives in garden apartment. We can tell you stories of the "old days" here in the 70's and 80's.

I also teach photography with the Art of Intuitive Photography group, which does great city photography walkabouts, if you're interested.
