Spectacular Waterfall Building top corner loft, ideally located steps to the famous public market. Polished concrete floors with radiant heating, 16 ft ceilings and windows, local art, laundry, secure parking, decadent eco friendly beds, mid century modern furnishings, spiral staircase to private roof-deck space with fire-pit and views.

The space

The loft space includes a huge roof deck above my loft with panoramic views. Each top floor loft owner has their own clearly defined deck space above their loft for their own use. Sleep safe and sound in eco-friendly beds from LA's Environment Furniture, whole body recovery natural memory foam mattresses and pillows from Essentia, silk and bamboo duvets and new Coyuchi organic bedding, throw pillows and blankets. There are polished radiant heated floors throughout the space and the huge sliding windows and doors front and back provide a nice fresh airflow. My loft is dog friendly upon approval with luxury pet amenities like an Essentia dog bed, bowls and toys. Stay green with natural detergents and cleaning products, bamboo paper towels/tissue/toilet paper, organic cotton towels, hemp table linens, compost and recycling. One large secure underground parking spot and a second smaller one included free with rental. Maximum vehicle height of 6'4, street parking in the neighbourhood also available as well as pay parking on the first level of the underground parkade. New addition: a top of the line 55 inch 4K Samsung flatscreen tv with surround sound system, Apple TV with Netflix and growing selection of new movies on ITunes.

Guest access

Access the floor by either of the west or east glass elevators with the key fob or up the stairs by the west elevator with the hallway key. Easiest access is up the East elevator, turn left across the catwalk then turn right. Guests have private access up the spiral staircase in the master bedroom to a dedicated 500 sqft green roof-deck space with grass and roses that has amazing 360 degree city and mountain views. There are no common facilities such as a gym in the building. Parking garage entrance is on the east end of the building on 2nd ave, public parking on first level, gate closes at 9pm, 24 hr secure parking on second level, garage opener provided for gates.

Other things to note

The Waterfall Building is an award winning live/work loft building designed in 2001 by the famous local architect Arthur Erickson. He has designed many amazing buildings in the area including the law courts and Robson square downtown, the museum of anthropology at the University of BC (UBC) and the entire campus of Simon Fraser University (SFU) on Burnaby mountain. The Waterfall Building has commercial units on the ground level, has an interesting mix of residents, artists, architects, film prospers and others in the building. There is a data centre in the basement of the building that connects many of the units with super fast internet service. The main building in the centre of the courtyard is often used as an art gallery and hosts occasional art showings, weddings or other events. It (and other units in my building) have also been used as a film venue and featured in many movies and tv shows including Battlestar Galactica, Martian Child, iZombie and White Noise.

Please don't smoke or burn anything anything inside the loft, please smoke cigarettes off the property across the street. Roof deck is 420 friendly. Be mindful of my neighbours and their neighbouring roof deck spaces, please stay on the dedicated patio space above the loft. No unapproved parties and no excessive noise after 11pm please. I do not allow locals to rent this loft to host parties, out of town visitors only please.

Lovely warm welcome, David was at the flat and gave us lots of recommendations for local places to visit. The flat is fantastic- great decor and space, roof terrace with wonderful views and walking distance to granville market which we went to every day. This is an absolute gem in the midst of the city, highly recommended

Great location near Granville island. The roof top deck is amazing. Great views, fire pit. Had a legendary nap in the hammock on a sunny afternoon. Very trendy apartment. Loved it.

What a great experience staying at David's place. Very unique and stylish condo with fantastic views from the rooftop deck! The location is perfect especially being a couple of minutes away by foot to Granville Island for everything you need. Great record collection as well. Stones throw to Granville Island and the sea wall. Close to Kitsilano. The rooftop was the bomb! Felt safe, hip, and really comfortable in this urban setting. Comfortable beds and parking space was a true bonus. We will be back!

Wonderful apartment with amazing views located in a great part of Vancouver. 10 minute walk to Granville Island with its many restaurants, open markets, and shops. A quick walk in the other direction gets you to Fourth Avenue with many different restaurants, bars, and stores. You're a 30 minute walk over the Burrard bridge to downtown or just a few minutes by car or via bike rental. Couldn't ask for a better place! Dinner or breakfast on the green roof personal deck is also a must do. Breakfast or coffee at Prado around the corner! Dog friendly is a huge plus! We'll be back!

My spaces have amazing outdoor spaces to relax in, allow you to bring your hairy four legged friends, have the most luxurious and eco friendly beds available, have air purifiers and aromatherapy nebulizers, eco household and cleaning products and come with a fridge stocked with local cold pressed juices and raw treats.
