The room with the view is charming and breakfast was lovely! The location was very convenient to trams to get around Amsterdam. Ben was an excellent host and provided much help with information I needed. I shall miss walking by the windmill...

My boyfriend and I stayed on Ben's house boat for 4 nights and it was the best and most unique Airbnb experience we've had to date. Firstly Ben was very responsive when communicating with us which made finding his house and checking in very smooth. The room itself is spacious, bright and seeing the water just outside your window also makes it kind of magical. Definitely the highlight (as with all Ben's reviews) is the amazing breakfast he provides every morning - we really appreciated the attention of detail (his presentation was flawless!) and the effort he provided to give us a selection of foods. We also really enjoyed the location, about a 25 min walk (or 10 min bike ride) from Amsterdam Central Station, it was far enough from all the crowds (Amsterdam is crawling with tourists at this time of year) but close enough for us to easily ride/walk to all the main attractions in Amsterdam without having to take public transport. Being right next to windmill brewery Brouwerij 't IJ was also a highlight and Ben even gave us some beers from the brewery to try. I would definitely recommend staying with Ben, its better than any hotel, and you'll get a true taste of life in Amsterdam.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Ben was the perfect host, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and more. He has great attention to detail and his place is immaculate.

Ben's place is absolutely perfect. It's in a great location - less than 2 minute walk to a windmill brewery (we went there every day), close to bike rentals, a grocery store, walkable to beautiful canal streets, a local market and of course, right one the water! The room was exactly like we expected. It was clean, had everything you might need and not to mention, Ben's breakfast were amazing to to enjoy by the window to the canal. He was even kind enough to allow us to store our bags for a few hours after check out before our flight left. We will definitely be back in the future! Thank you!

Ben's house boat is delightful. It was easy to find because it is located by Amsterdam's only windmill . Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend.

Where do I start. First off, Ben is a fantastic host. Our flight flew in well past dinner time and we didn't arrive to the house boat until 21:30. Ben stayed up and welcomed us warmly with a personal map of the city, tips on transportation, great food spots and sites to see. He even welcomed us with two bottles of beer from the brewery down the street. What a guy! The room, though small, is absolutely lovely. Waking up to the view of the canal and seeing the ducks was such a highlight. Ben also made us a wonderful breakfast every day we were there. Better then most of the cafes we tasted while in Europe to be honest. It was so nice to eat breakfast and take in the views before a long day of exploring the city. The location of the house boat is in a prime location. 2 minutes away is a giant beautiful windmill, a popular brewery called Brouwerij 't IJ, and a new restaurant/bar called Schnitzel and Weizen (with the best Schnitzel we've had and views of the windmill). Catching the bus to Central station or really anywhere in the city is a short 5 minute walk. Im hoping we can make another visit to Amsterdam and will let anyone I know to book at Ben's Bed and Breakfast!
