I can't say enough about how great this place and its hosts are. The cottage itself is a passive solar design with plenty of windows to view the lovely rural Vermont setting. Indoors, the airy Northern European styling is spacious and comfortable. The upstairs bedroom loft is open to the living area below, and I slept soundly on the nice firm bed. The kitchen and bath were well-equipped and the house was very clean. Overall, staying at the Stone Cottage was a highlight of our vacation. Five Stars Plus.

I feel spoiled for having this place be the first ever airbnb I ever booked, certainly the bar has been set exceptionally high. The check-in process was seamless, even after arriving well after dark. The cozy lofted bedroom was spotless, matching the rest of the beautiful home. You have all of the amenities and feel of a city apartment in a woodsy location not far from anything Stowe, Waterbury, and even Burlington have to offer. Extra points for such a well stocked kitchen with an impressive range and cookware. Although we didn't use it, the grill looked great as well. The hosts were gracious enough to leave some wood for the outdoor fire pit, although it rained for most of the trip and the pile was uncovered, so we had to dry it out as best we could. I'll subtract a half-star for that, but since we were already up to 10 out of a possible 5, it won't make a difference at the end of the day. Stay here. Period.

What a great place! We stayed 3 nights at Passive House and it was by far the best part of our vacation. The house is immaculately clean, all the comforts you could ask for or need, all packaged in a beautifully styled home. The location is great too. You are 5 miles down the road from Stowe and 20mins or so from Waterbury. Pam has fantastic recommendations of things to see and do in the area. I hope we have the opportunity to visit again soon.

Words are unable to do justice to the scope of craftsmanship and care that went into the building and design of Pam's cottage. It's simply perfect. Fully stocked kitchen, amazing water pressure, uber comfy seating and a super supportive bed...not to mention a hammock for relaxing! Pam's guide to the area is a gem and most helpful. If you're after peace and quiet, and the comfort of a geothermal regulated home, this is your dream. A plus: Five minutes to the amazing Lamoille Valley Rail Trail.
