The room I was staying in (203) was really nice. It has a fridge and a tv (and for the girls: the room also has a full-length mirror ;)). The communication was also very nice, as I got an answer to all my questions quickly; this was my first Airbnb experience. Just one little thing, you might not wanna go out too late, the neighborhood is a little special.

For an outsider with no credit history, Mina guest house is a blessing in disguise. Reasonably priced simple accommodation with all basic amenities we needed plus all the other comers and goers are super friendly and helpful. The exact street might be a bit boisterous but not unsafe plus its 10 minutes from yonge dundas square and equal from lake front with bus and streetcar stops right across the road.

Before I get to Toronto, Arya answered my messages very fast and I received a document with the information for my stay. The neighborhood is really sketchy and you don't really feel safe so I recommend to go straight to the right on Dundas St. when you leave the house. To be honest I only stayed 2 nights on 10 for a few reasons: -I sent messages to Arya for a few questions once I get to the house but had no answer for a few days, even with the emergency contact -the house is really dirty, dusty, and smell dog everywhere probably because it is impossible to clean the carpet everywhere in the house except bathroom and kitchen -I could not open the window in my room (#4) because there is a nest with pigeons living against the window (I won't talk about the noise, the pigeon shits, but you can imagine) -I saw bed bugs on my bed and "fortunately" I could get a spray against bed bugs and new sheets but unfortunately the maid left the new sheets on the floor by my door when I was sleeping what I complained to Arya to get new sheets again!!! -there is no A/C in the bedroom so in the filter to book this place it shouldn't be announced A/C -in the set of keys I had only the key of the bedroom but not the key of the house so I had to use all the time the one in the lockbox at the first gate outside (when you see how the neighborhood is you just want to be very fast to open the gate!!!) -in the bedroom there is no outlet to plug the phone or computer -only one of the 2 bathrooms on the floor was usable because the other one has no shower head For all those reasons I decided to leave the house after 2 nights to go somewhere else.

Response from Arya:
Hi People have different opinion about our services as long as it is fair I won't complain or deny I respond to email from my phone so it is always right away or worse come to worse an hour delay If I didn't respond to your email we do have land line phone free of charge for guest to use you could have called me or property manager Dale whom lives right next door. 1- Our common areas like kitchen bathrooms hallways front yard are cleaned twice per week and we found it adequate 2- we have TV and night lamp in each in different part of room how hard that could be to find a plug. 3- key was left in lockbox for your convenience of check in and it did belong to your key set how hard is to guess even though you didn't know you could just take it if we needed other one in the box we would have put another key in the lockbox 4- we have carpet cleaning equipment in the house if needs cleaning we will do it at the time of room preparation in case if it wasn't clean and you told us we would wash the carpet right away. 5- I don't think you had bed bugs in your room because when I told you we will spray the room immediately you said know just give me the spray I do it myself. Also our beds are covered in order to prevent bed bugs and also it's better you know bedbugs are transferred by people all we can do to spray the property if it's infested city of New York and Toronto for past 5 years are suffering from bedbugs even some 5 star hotels get insisted. 6-Pigeons come and hang out by windows event thou I put a net in front of window still they come I will try to get professional help to get rid of them 7-There is an Ac grid in the room it's right by the bed since you couldn't find a plug to charge your phone I don't expect you to see that but the time you were here was a crazy weather one day very could and very hot day other day so we couldn't run the AC all the time but there is a ceiling fan in room 4. There are shelters in east side area so you see more homeless than other side they are homeless not criminals also these areas are monitored by police and security 24/7 so it may look scratchy but 100% safe Me and my staffs are alway trying to do our best to provide best possible service I hope you give other chance so we can provide you with a better service to make you an happy costumer Regards Arya
