The space

Located on the Mound in the heart of central Edinburgh with spectacular, uninterrupted views of the City Centre, Princes Street and Princes Street Gardens. Our guests have all commented on the special views from the window seat.

Everything on your doorstep, Royal Mile, Castle, Old and New Towns. Modern, stylish and well appointed, abundant natural light and perfect base to explore the city.

Each bedroom has a double bed and plentiful wardrobe and built in storage in addition to en suite luxury bathrooms including large showers. The master bedroom overlooks a historic courtyard, and has a flat screen television. All towels, laundry and bedding supplied and fitted.

The open plan kitchen, living dining area offers a large flat screen television, and ipod dock. Kitchen area includes breakfast bar, granite worktops, and integrated Siemens induction hob and appliances.

Ideal for families visiting Edinburgh, the University, or exploring both the Old Town and New Town attractions, or for friends who are meeting up to enjoy the buzzing Edinburgh atmosphere. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Guest access

Private and entire apartment. Please note there is no lift and you have to walk several flights of stairs. The view and location is worth the effort, but would not suit disabled or infirm.

Flat is our holiday home, and is set up for our guests, with fully vacant storage, empty wardrobes, empty cupboards and fully stocked kitchen, cooking equipment, tableware, appliances and luxury furnishings. We do not store our personal items and you will have full access. Dedicated WiFi provided. Clean laundry, bedding and towels supplied and fitted. Just like a hotel, but bigger and better!

Interaction with guests

Apartment is our private holiday home (owned by my wife, Sheila) and we are non resident. Our permanent home is in Aberdeen. You therefore have it to yourself to enjoy. Otherwise, we are very happy to answer your queries and provide local recommendations. I will also arrange your check in. We employ a local agent to meet guests and to arrange cleaning and laundry. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Great view, the apartment is just excellent. We had a great time in Edinburgh and really enjoyed the apartment. The whole apartment was spotlessly clean and everything worked. Nicely fitted out kitchen with everything you need. Steve was pleasure to communicate with and very helpful, his guidance for food was great and other tips very helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Really wonderful, centrally located flat... but, as in the description, be prepared to walk up 73 (we counted them) steps! It is definitely worth the effort, the views are incredible and the rooms very comfortable. Steven is very responsive to any questions, which makes staying at his property all the easier. We will be back!

Too many good things to say about this place in one review so I will hit the highlights. 1) Breathtaking views from nearly every window, especially in the living room 2) Perfect location - we walked everywhere and nothing ever felt too far if we needed to take a quick rest. Also very close to the train station, though we didn't actually take the train 3) The interior of the place in general was stunning - you can tell Steven put a lot of work into it! 4) Master shower was awesome...I'm tall and in Europe it's hard to come by showers that I don't have to duck in to get my hair wet! Overall amazing experience and we will definitely stay again next time we are in Edinburgh.

This is a lovely unit in a fantastic location, within walking distance of most of Edinburgh's major attractions. The apartment was clean, light and spacious, with wonderful views over the Princes Street gardens and the new town. There were many thoughtful inclusions which made the stay all the more enjoyable. Visitors should be aware that the apartment is on the third floor, and there is no elevator in the building. The flooring also tends to be a bit squeaky, but for us this just added to the charm!

Perfect location, immaculate, and wonderful host. Be prepared for plenty of exercise, however, lugging self and luggage up and down three flights. Outside of the luggage, we found it to be great exercise; just be warned, not for the weak or infirm. Parking was a nightmare, however. We ended up parking at the train station, a short walk, at the cost of 21 £/day out of complete frustration, and woke up early to pack the car during loading hours. All in all, very worth it once you get the swing of it.
