A wonderful home for a short vacation! Janie really thought of everything when it came to preparing for our stay and her husband was really kind to help us setup our first bonfire along with the necessary accompaniments. Timber, their pet chocolate lab, is a pleasure to have around. He also has a big cage house he can be sent back to if the guests so desire.  I would definitely recommend this place for a group who is looking to spend time together in a quiet, peaceful home away from home. Just remember to bring food as the convenience store is a 10 min drive.

Great place to stay. Wonderful and communicative hosts with a bright eyed, sweet, and energetic dog, Timber, who loves to play fetch. The location worked out well, just a half hour from Coeur d'Alene. The yard, porch, and fire pit were great to hang out in. The guest quarters were great also, but note that it is not acoustically isolated from the hosts quarters upstairs, it does not have a stove, and wifi was pretty slow. That said, we would highly recommend and would stay again if in the area.

Be ready to be swept off your feet. The place is breathtaking and these hosts are the best! One of bulls stuck close to the house. He was the highlight of our trip. Just down the road is Wallace. We recommend the mine tour. Cost for adults is $15 and seniors $13. Don't hesitate to book this house.

A great location for somebody who wants to be out of town and get the fresh air! It was great to see the Elks up close. Janie and her husband were very friendly and great with kids! Our kids loved the fully stocked toys and playing outside! Things were fully stocked in the rooms and bathrooms! We appreciated Janie's suggestion where to go in the area! A full kitchen would make this place outstanding!

It is evident that Janie and Dave gave thought to what their guests would want or need. They were accommodating and extremely easy to communicate with throughout stay. Our family of four, including a college student and senior in HS, had a fantastic time. Waking up to the fresh mountain air and seeing elk roaming in the "backyard" could only make us smile. We experienced great conversations during meals outside, and enjoyed laughter and teasing as we played cornhole - definitely realized how the kids became so competitive! The inside of the home was very comfortable, and though we were all under one roof, we never once felt cramped. There is plenty of room. Hubby and I enjoyed coffee while we read in a couple of comfortable chairs in a nook, as the children stayed in the living room working on their computers. Even when they turned on the TV, we never felt disturbed. Janie and Dave were very respectful of our privacy and never intruded, and as described, they let us "set the tone." As we were getting ready for a short tour to see the elk up close, the kids asked us when we could come back to stay there. As any parent knows, those words are golden. We were happy we chose to stay at Janie and Dave's!

A beautiful Eden in Idaho. I'd recommend highly this place. One has to see it to understand. Thanks to the hosts for their sweetness, and delicate attentions. I need to buy those antler medical products now.
