Lovely house such as on the photos! All mad in wood in and out the house, so charming...Very secure, calm and surrounding by nature. The host is discrete and the neighbors are quite far away. The cleaning is made every day in the house. We liked the position of the house, not to close to the center of Puerto Viejo and near to wild beaches of the extreme south of Caribbean cost (Manzanilllo, punta uva...). Very good traditional restaurant at few meters from the house.

From the moment I arrived Emilio (Jenny's husband) was completely helpful and accommodating. I arrived hours later than I expected due to really bad traffic in San Jose. Emilio helped me to get a taxi and waited up for me to get there. The cabina is tucked away from the road in Cauita and you are surrounded by beautiful rainforest. You can hear howler monkeys surrounding you, all kinds of birds including toucans and peacocks. It's such a sweet romantic get away. I was alone for the first part of my trip and felt completely safe there. I didn't need to worry about leaving my things, the staff came in and cleaned everyday and kept everything tidy. The front porch was perfection. I fell asleep in the hammock many times listening to the rainstorm and sipping tea. This is a very magical place to stay in Puerto Viejo. Emilio and Jenny even gave us a ride home one night when it was dark. And he also went out of his way to find us the last day while we were shopping in the village, to tell us our interbus was not set up correctly. He made sure everything was smooth. I would definitely stay here again. One thing to note, the place isn't really walking distance to Puerto Viejo, or the beaches. But Emilio set up bike rentals and it wasn't a problem, 10 minute bike ride to town and 30 minutes to the beautiful Punta Uva beach. Which was actually great, I got my excercise in! The only drawback to this was that it wasn't really safe to bike after dark, so for dinners taxis were required. But that wasn't an issue, they were very prompt. Everything about this place was perfect. Jungle meets beach. Tucked away from the hustle bustle of Puerto Viejo. And a wonderful retreat to wake up every morning and open the windows to the sounds of the jungle. Thankyou! Amy and Lindsay

I loved staying at Casa Pizote! The property is beautiful and the beach is a quick walk down the street. It was also nice having a super market right around the corner. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Puerto Viejo!

Hello! My name is Jenny R. Brown, originally from Puerto Viejo. Mi family a mix of indigenous and afro-caribbean people were first settlers in this coast. I love the Caribbean life, quiet and laid back. In our small piece of paradise, time has no meaning, winter does not exist and Nature provides everything you may need. I invite you to experience the caribbean lifestyle in one of my cottages where your senses will be awakened bringing you closer to Nature.
