If you would like to find a quiet place to stay, this is it. The view from the balcony is wonderful. Though the furniture is simple, the sunset view will surprise you.

The View, as advertised, was mesmerizing. The room was pretty as a picture. Because it is far away from the madness of Amalfi, it is a bit difficult to get to and get out of, but once one gets a hang of the bus schedule, it's cool. Apart from a couple of small things which can be easily improved, this place was definitely great value for money and a beautiful experience. Bonus points for Rachelle at the Tobacco Road shop who was most helpful.

I loved my stay in this beautiful apartment and would definitely go back. Stella was great to deal with. We were arriving early in Amalfi and she kindly arranged to meet us at the apartment at 10:30 am when the previous guests were checking out so that we could leave our bags, and she gave us the keys so we could return later. She took plenty of time to show us the apartment, explain the buses, tell us about the nearby shortcuts using the stairways by the villa, and recommended the restaurant owned by the same family which turned out to be great. She was also very helpful in arranging a taxi to take us to our boat when we were leaving. The driver she sent was very professional and pleasant. The apartment is lovely. It is down about 10 steps so easy by Amalfi standards. One room is tastefully decorated with a dining table and chairs, a sofa and chair. French doors lead outside, where two steps up there is a deck with a breathtaking view of the ocean and surrounding hills. Another set of French doors leads into the large bedroom, off of which are the bathroom and a closet and dressing area. There is a second set of doors from the bedroom which open facing the sea, providing a stunning view and a lovely breeze. There is a bar fridge in the bedroom. There are TVs in both rooms but we didn't check which channels were available. The WiFi worked well in the living room but because of the thick walls it didn't work elsewhere. I didn't consider that to be a problem. Getting to the apartment is easy once you know the buses. It's about a 10 minute ride and so worth it to be in a quiet neighbourhood with local people. From the main bus hub in Amalfi, which is right next to where the ferries dock, you can get on a bus to either Pogerola or Agerola. On the Agerola bus just watch out the right window for the Tobacco Road Bar and request the stop as soon as you see it. You'll be dropped less than half a block from the apartment. The Pogerola bus turns right at the bend just before the bar, so you watch for the sign at the top of a hill that indicates a right turn to Pogerola and get out there, and then walk up the hill in the other direction about two blocks. In addition to Stella, the owners provide their telephone number in case of any problems or questions.

The room is gorgeous and the area is beautiful! It is a quick bus ride away from Amalfi waterfront. The coffee shop close to guest house is amazing and Antonio that works there is very helpful! Stella was not very happy that we arrived late at night (it was not our fault) and we had to pay 50 euros extra which was not great. Overall it was a lovely stay and I would go back!

Response from Stella:
I always welcome all my guests with a warm smile even if it's midnight. You could have chosen an earlier train, the rules about late check-in are clearly written in the listing in order to avoid complaints. I think that a thief is not only the person that steals money and goods, but also who doesn't give sufficient consideration to other people's time, health and work.
