The space

Give yourself and your 4 to 15 group a rejuvenating getaway in a serene natural setting at one of Ojai's unique avocado and citrus farms (20+ acres). We are only 5 miles from Ojai town center and 15 miles to the beach. Our micro climate is milder than in the valley so you will feel comfortable and refreshed all summer and winter even when the valley bakes or freezes. Guests tell us the air is special as jasmine, citrus, sage and rosemary aromas abound.

Carol and Aubrey's property is absolutely sublime. From the tasteful and comfortable decor to the amazing array of African art and furniture, the style and comfort of the property is hard to match. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked for a rental property and the beds and bathrooms were all of a high standard. The property itself is very beautiful - at night you can see all the constellations and by day you are surrounded with beautiful fruit bearing trees. My friends and I had a really lovely time together in this property and would definitely book here again if we were to return.

The house and the property are great - lots of space and beautiful views! It's good to know that it's possible there will be other people there with you if you don't book the entire property. Carol is easy to work with and was very helpful. Overall we had a great weekend at this beautiful home!

Carol and Aubrey's place was absolutely stunning and relaxing. A "wonderland" as many of my friends called it. The house was exquisitely appointed, while exceptionally comfortable. Carol was extremely responsive in our preparations for the weekend, so planning was easy. It was lovely to meet Carol and Aubrey in person during our stay. Thank you, Carol and Aubrey!

We had high expectations coming to this place, and even still they were exceeded. The house & property are so beautiful amidst the hills. Plenty to explore on-site or nearby, or just relax in the serenity of the nature right there. Carol & Aubrey were so responsive & accommodating leading up to & upon our arrival of our group of 9 & 3 little kids. It truly was the perfect place to spend quality time with friends amidst nature. We didn't want to leave!

Carol Cilliers Blaschke is an astrologer/metaphysician/healer, avid yoga practitioner, mostly raw foodie. I was born and lived in Southern Africa for 20 years before coming to the San Francisco Bay area. I currently mostly live in Ojai, and also in Venice Beach, California. I have traveled a great deal all over the world and tend to be pretty casual, preferring hiking and being in nature but also love some cultural input.

Aubrey Balkind was a creative graphic designer with work in numerous museums. Presently, he uses his "baby-mind" to solve strategic business and lifestyle opportunities that effect health. I grew up in South Africa and came to the USA to attend Columbia University's MBA program and thrived for 40 years in New York. The west coast beckoned, so I moved about 6 years ago settling in Venice Beach and recently in magical Ojai. Love yoga, hiking, bicycling, creating and eating Carol's amazing, rejuvenating raw food.
