The penultimate English village experience--quiet and comfortable in the quaint home of a host who knows the area extremely well because he grew up there. I have hardly slept so well anywhere else after walking nearby. In addition to good conversation, the host serves up legendary breakfasts. Day passes are the ticket to Lake District marvels to the north. Friendly people at a pub up the lane also offer delicious food. Afterward, wondrous skies dome the valley below. Thank you.

I stayed one night in Iain's lovely home, it is in a great location with a really gorgeous pub a few minutes walk away. Iain is a really lovely guy and made me feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
