If you so desire you may arrange for first rate horseback riding including care of our own Sangres Best Grass Finished cattle. The creek flowing through the yard... meadows as far as you can see to the North and the beautiful old barns and pole corrals complete this peaceful yet invigorating space.

Our stay at Elin's place was exactly the experience we were hoping for. The ranch house is in a beautiful location, surrounded by thousands of acres of ranch land with a stunning view of the mountains. The house is homey - our stay sort of felt like a visit to Grandma's house (in a good way)! We used it as an opportunity to unplug. We cooked a big family dinner (using some of the grass-fed beef from the freezer) and enjoyed an evening of conversation and star gazing. Our two toddlers ran around outside a lot, despite the chilly weather. They used the tire swing, watched the horses, and explored the grounds. The house itself had a neat collection of children's books and some toys they enjoyed as well. There's no TV, but when things got crazy we were able to stream Netflix on their tablets using the house internet. My husband and I went for a guided horseback ride and I highly recommend booking one. Our guide, Deb, was excellent. We can't wait to visit again someday.

A beautiful, incredible location. Not to be missed. The house and setting are from times past. So comfortable, so wonderfully peaceful and quiet. Elin provided a warm, welcoming experience. I highly recommend signing up for the 5ame ride, it is just stunningly...beautiful.

Elin was a wonderful host to her fabulous ranch. Our girls (12 yrs & 7 yrs (x2) especially enjoyed horse back riding. The ranch is beautiful and relaxing.

This is a wonderful place. I could've stayed there for a few more days, but had to get back to Denver. Follow directions on the web site. Do not follow Apple iPhone directions.

Response from Elin:
Thanks for leaving the place so well picked up! We are working to make recognizing the driveway easier... a sign is in the works and getting the message front and center at every opportunity for guests to follow written directions NOT GPS is another thing we are up to. Hope to see you again for a longer stay... the fire pit beckons :-)

The kids loved Elin's place. They had an amazing time out learning to horseback ride with Elin, my husband said it was one of his favorite all time experiences. My kids are now hooked on riding and want to go back soon!

Elin was wonderful to communicate with, very prompt and helpful. The ranch was stunningly beautiful, with sweeping vistas and a corral with cute horses to admire. Three of my friends went on a 4-hour horseback ride with Rhoda, who works on the ranch, and had an unforgettable time. Note that if you have trouble sleeping, you should work out arrangements ahead of time because the house is beautiful, but a bit old and creaky with no significant window coverings. Bring earplugs and an eye mask if you need.

I am a 50+ woman who grew up on a cattle ranch and have been ranching ever since. I am an entrepreneur building a small guest operation in conjunction with the ranch and a grass finished beef business.

I love simple, healthful and delicious food... and making it! I love movies like Open Range, Quiggley Down Under and Second Hand Lion.

I love going to the Hot Springs.

And I love my four kids, my husband and my God.

We are so happy to share the beauty and simplicity of the ranch with those who appreciate such things. The horses and riding are a bonus!
