This peaceful room with beautiful downland views boasts one of the most comfortable beds in Brighton. Our quiet street is just a 5-10 minute away from the sea and is part of the fashionable Kemptown village.
A serene space, with a lovely view and a very comfy bed makes this a very special room.
Guests have access to a shared bathroom and the breakfast room. I'm afraid I cannot offer to share my tiny kitchen but please feel that you can pop in to make coffee or use the microwave. The washing machine is available for people staying for more than 2 nights.
Interaction with guests
I am always happy to chat with guests. I have a good knowledge of Brighton and Sussex so please ask for recommendations, especially on rainy days.
No smoking is allowed in any part of the house which is my home. Please consider other guests by keeping your voices down after 10.30

I retired from teaching two years ago so I have lots of time to spend in the garden of my sunny 1930s terraced house where I have lived for thirty years. For most of this time, the house has been full of children, animals and foreign students. The house is perfectly placed for abnb guests because it is both close to the beach and a short walk to town. The house itself is built over four floors, so everyone can have plenty of privacy.
I have a keen interest in Brighton history and would be delighted to answer any questions about this beautiful and vibrant city. I’ve also travelled quite a bit, so would be interested to hear any stories my guests choose to share.
