Charming home and spacious home in the heart of Stockholm with a wonderful garden and off-street parking. Brittmari and Steve are fantastic hosts who graciously share their unique house and property with those of us who are just passing through.

Our stay at Brittmari's and Steve cozy historic house was incredible! Our family of 4 (two kids) stayed here for 6 wonderful days at the end of August 2017 and were so sad to leave. The house dates back to the 1730's, but you would never know because it is so well maintained and modernized. They welcomed us on our arrival and walked us through the details and history of the house. We really appreciated the bus passes - those were very helpful. The house is centrally located and close to several key bus lines. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The house was well stocked with towels and sheets, and the computer was very useful for planning our day trips. The garden outside was cozy - we enjoyed it every evening after we got back from our day trips. We felt so fortunate to be able to stay in such a beautiful and historic house. We'll miss it! This house has it all!

The house is very charming, clean, and well appointed. It's in a great location (Sodermalm). We were able to walk to Gamla Stan along the water in about 30 minutes. The Fotografiska museum and the hop on/hop off boats (included with the Stockholm Pass) were about a 15 minute walk. There are also buses that run very close by when your feet get tired. One of the best views of Stockholm is right across the road from the house and there are interesting areas to walk in the immediate neighborhood. Try Herman's for a great Vegan all you can eat buffet (about a 15 minute walk).

Five of us stayed here for five nights in July. The home was an oasis of calm in a lively city. We thoroughly enjoyed the garden space, the comfy living room, and the cozy beds. We ate many of our meals in the lovely dining room or in the garden, the market being only a few minutes away by foot. The hosts welcomed us upon arrival, and even stocked the kitchen with breakfast staples. A nearby bus stop made getting around easy. Great stay! Highly recommended.

After spending 5 days in Stockholm I'm convinced this house is in the perfect and best location in all of Stockholm. It's not only central but it's also quiet. The pictures for this listing do not do it any justice! It's a beautiful and historic house that felt like a privilege to stay in. There are many good restaurants and shops nearby and an AMAZING scenic overlook literally across the street. What a great experience!
