Take in all the MS Gulf Coast has to offer. The Pascagoula River is one of the last free-flowing rivers in the upper 48 states. You can go from the freshwater of the Pascagoula River, drive past Pine Island, and go under I10 Bridge, under Highway 90, all the way to Horn Island, a barrier island located off the coast of MS. There are very few places in the world where you can experience freshwater, brackish water, and saltwater in a 15-minute boat ride.

The space
This is an older mobile home and is set up as fish camp. It's great for the outdoor enthusiast. The home is not perfect by any means, but it's located in a beautiful, quite area near the Pascagoula River. The home is a tad bit unlevel and there is a slight smell to the water due to the water system. The icebox is cold waiting for the next cool, smooth, beverage! It is truly country living at its finest. It's clean, stocked to the hilt, and perfect for a nice, affordable, getaway. The rooms are compact but sufficient for a pleasant stay. There are other camps located in the same area. There is plenty of parking for your boat.

San Juan Fishing Camp: 1/4 mile

With Less than 1/4 mile to launch your boat, you are sure to be on the water in no time. San Juan Fishing camp as a boat launch with parking. To launch and park there is a $5 honor box at the launch. The marina has been sold and will have new owners on May 4th.

Pine Island: 3 Min from the boat launch

Pine Island is a freshwater island located only 3 minutes from San Juan Marina. Attached is an article on Pine Island that shares more about it. During the summer weekends, it can get crowded, but during the week it will feel like your own private island.

For the sport boating enthusiasts:

The Pascagoula River has some of the best wakeboarding and Skiing locations in the country. The Marsh banks allow the boat wakes to die, creating a super smooth service for watersports.

For the Fisherman:

If you are an avid fisherman, you have the chance to catch Freshwater Bass, Catfish, Bluegill, or hang out in the brackish water and catch Speckled Trout, Red Fish, Flounder, or go on offshore for the Snapper, Cobia, and King Fish.

For the Sunbathing and offshore Beauty: 45 Min Boat Ride

Take the 15 min boat ride to the mouth of the Pascagoula River. From there you still have a 30min offshore ride to visit Beautiful Horn Island off the coast of MS. Horn Island is great for swimming, boating, wade fishing, or relaxing. Horn Island has a beautiful stretch of beaches and sand dunes along with inland Lagoons.

Swamp Tour:

You can turn north and either go up the Pascagoula River or go up Bluff Creek to some of the most beautiful untouched swamp terrains you will ever see.

For the Sunbathers and nature watchers: You are likely to see many types of wildlife from migratory birds, different types of inshore and offshore birds, and the American Alligator.
