I am sorry to hear about your concerns. I wish that you had advised me of them while you were here. I could have put out traps for the ants. It is important, especially in a tropical country, to clean up spills, put away food, and take out the trash frequently to avoid bugs. I have put traps out now.
As for the water, as we tell all of our guests, late in the dry season, there are frequent rolling water shut-offs in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica. Different sections of town have the water turned off for a few hours each day to help conserve. I hope that it was not too much of an inconvenience for you. We do put those extra jugs of water throughout the units in case this does occur.
The unit that you stayed in does have a holding tank with 750L of water, so if you were without, there may have been a problem with the tank. I will have someone check this immediately.
Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention.
