We had a lovely couple of days here. The kids loved roaming around the garden and grounds and playing on the swing and trampoline. Lovely away from it all location surrounded by amazing forest.

We were very well looked after at Wispers Wood Cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and recommend it to anyone needing some peace and quiet in an idyllic location. Everything was of a very high standard in the house and well maintained, the whole house was very tastefu…

Great short break at Mark's woodland retreat for a nearby country wedding. The house is situated in a beautiful, remote location and was the perfect base for exploring the surrounding countryside on foot. Our only criticism was the the second double bed was very small and not rea…

Thanks for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. I would just like to address a few of the issues you raised. The bed I assume you are referring to is the one in the smaller bedroom. As described in the listing that’s a standard double (4’6) so I’m not sure what else you expected. As for the appliances, the dishwasher broke on the day of your arrival and an engineer was unable to come out on the day. As for any other issues, as I pointed out to you when showing you around the house, if you needed anything you could just come next door and we would be happy to help or explain how things work, as we do with all our guests.

Mark's place was absolutely beautiful, and the setting was gorgeous. He was an excellent host, offering help whenever needed and even inviting us in for drinks on Christmas. The two dogs were friendly as could be, and we loved taking walks in the beautiful landscape. The house it…

Thank you so much for your review. I really enjoyed meeting you and I'm pleased that you had a wonderful stay. We appreciate your comments about the second bedroom. As I'm sure you are aware airbnb is a home from home experience. Our guests choose to stay in a “living” home. It is our utmost priority to provide a clean and tidy space but one that inevitably contains all our belongings. The second double bedroom is our daughter's room hence it will be filled with her belongings. We have endeavoured to organise the latter neatly and have in order to achieve that redecorated, added a set of bookshelves and replaced the smaller desk with a bigger one. We will certainly update the photos as we would not want to mislead. I'm pleased you appreciated the peace and seclusion the property offers. The latter comes at cost of unconventional access. The last half a mile of the woodland track that leads to the property is "by an unmade restricted byway" as pointed out in the listing. As with all our guests we also mentioned to you in our correspondence to take care down the track because it is bumpy. Teddies and potholes prevailing we are glad you had a good time and we hope to see you here in the future.
