Situated in the heart of our 470 acres beef farm, our cottage will give you a truly King Island experience. About 10min from the most popular surfing beaches (Martha and Phoques) and about 7km from the new Cape Wickham Golf Course

The space

The cottage is located in the heart of one of our beef properties. You will have bulls in the front paddock and cows EVERYWHERE.
This is the prefect location if you are interested in surf and/or Golf. It is 25min from town but we can cook you a nice meal if you don't want to leave the comfort of the cottage ( I also run a catering business where I cook Portuguese food with King Island produce). A menu is available at the cottage.
There are 3 bedrooms with one queen bed, one double bed and 2 single beds. There is also 2 sofa beds and 2 small fold out beds. A porta cot is also available.
We have a kitchen with cooking equipment, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and a coffee machine.
Coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil and our chook eggs are free.
The bathroom has a bath and sink and toilet is separate. There are also 2 sun rooms where you can enjoy a glass of wine with a farm view.
The house is not new but has character and is clean.
There are also some native guests in the frontyard that come for a visit every now and then (wallabies, native birds)
We also have 3 hens and a rooster so you will never be alone and eggs are free but seasonal.
We will have some complementary cheese at your arrival and in the fridge and you can also find some drinks and milk at a small charge.

Guest access

Apart from the house you are welcome to visit Sam's Lagoon and its native birds. It is only a 3 min walk from the house.

Feel free to feed the choocks, I am sure they will love it.

Interaction with guests

We will be only a call away. We live just a couple of km up the road.
I usually come to say Hello at your arrival or next day but I like to leave our guests alone and not being intrusive.
I will also be happy to come in for a chat if you want to know more about King Island.
We also run farm tours with a paddock to plate experience. Get in touch if you want more information

Other things to note

As you might be very busy enjoying King Island, we also offer grocery pick up just for a small fee.
We also offer cooked meals and lunches. We always have aged King Island Steak available if you are interested in trying the best beef in the world

Lovely spot close to surfbreaks at the top of the island. Lots of birds and wildlife and a cosy house. Wanted to take Rufus the rooster home with us! We'll be back!
