Lovely house, very cosy, perfect size for a couple. From the street you walk straight into the village centre with some great food and drinks options. Grab the car and both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales parks are right around the corner.

A beautiful cottage in a beautiful village. The wooden timbers, books and lighting really makes this cottage a treasured find. A calm cosy atmosphere the space is perfect. Wonderful interior, Richards art collection is something to be admired. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed like sleeping on a cloud, and the loft TV room whilst a little cold was like finding a secret part of the house. Thank you Richard for all the communication before hand and for the recommendations, the black pudding was AMAZING! We will be back next year! Massive recommendation from us.

What a fantastic little cottage in a lovely town! My husband and I recently stayed in Richard's cottage for 3 nights and had such a nice time. It's very central in the town- perfect for sampling all the local pubs/restaurants and is also a great location for exploring the nearby Dales/Lakes. The cottage is lovely, spanning 3 floors, with beautiful wooden beams and a homely feel. We were made to feel wonderfully welcome with a lit stove on arrival which we loved making making use of during our stay. Tea/coffee and some delicious toffee cake from the local bakery were also provided which were a great touch and really appreciated! Parking can be a little difficult but we did manage to eventually find a space in nearby streets. Overall, we would highly recommend a stay in Richard's cottage and would certainly stay again should we be re-visiting the area. Thanks again Richard!
