The place has the best rate price and quality. It was very close to the train station, waterbus platform and several shops and sightseeing. It was also clean and they have a very efficient system for the check-in and out. The hot water is not a huge problem during the summer or with some handling and patience. Good election for us
Perhaps a personal problem but we didn't have the best communication with the host. We were unclear on check out, passport info, etc. But we were allowed to check in early which was nice. However, we did not have any hot water or wifi during our trip. Again, we asked a personnel on site to help and didn't get any. Good to walk to the train station. Not great location for Carnivale because it's very far from the main square and events. As 4 college kids we were able to get by as we're used to this kind of accommodation but wouldn't reccomend this place for other types of guests.
This was perfect for our two days in Venezia, where all we needed was a bed and a bathroom. It feels like sleeping at a motel, and you can hear other guests talking through the walls. But the night was quiet, and it was easy to walk down to San Marco and the other main facilities. But there was no warm water... Other than that, absolutely workable.
The only good thing about this place is the location. I arrived in Venice around 6 and was going to use the walking directions to eat to the place provided by the host, but as I tried to follow them, they didn't make ANY sense. My phone doesn't work unless on wifi when I'm out of the country, so I was out of luck. It took me over an hour to find it and it was a simple 10 minutes away from the station. When I got to the place (in a dark alley), I had to stumble through cold, quiet, and dark hallways to my room on a different level. The room smelled HORRIBLE. I was nervous to sleep here, but it was getting later and I didn't have anywhere else to go. The sheets seemed clean enough, so I stayed for the duration of my stay. Everything was a bit better in the daylight. Also, the shower goes from freezing cold to scalding hot in a second and it's not fun. It's greatly located, but it may be worth spending a few more bucks somewhere else.
