This is more than a spacious room with delicious breakfast and a stunning view of lake Skarridsø: There's kitchen access, common areas w/billard, tv and fireplace. The beautiful surroundings offer petanque, sailing, fishing, and hikes in the woods.
Welcome to the former residence of Baron Haxthausen. This particular room used to be the library and was now transformed into a pleasant bedroom. It is a private, large bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. Moreover, there are two comfortable chairs in which you can sit and enjoy the view and sunset over the garden and lake Skarridsø. As the room used to be the library of the house, there are still kept a lot of the books in here, which you're welcome to dig into.
Outside of the private room, there is a kitchen, bathroom, toilet and a common area with a large TV, sofas, a fireplace and a billiard table to be shared with guests from the other room.
The surroundings of the house are stunning and you are welcome to explore it. You will have access to fishing, bird watching and sailing on the lake, straight access to an impressive forest, and feel free to play at the petanque lane in the garden. In the rose garden in front of the house, you'll also find a grill that you're welcome to use to prepare dinner. The romantic back yard is perfect for enjoying breakfast in the morning sun.
Interaction with guests
I will stay in the same house, but where your room and common area is on the first floor, my space in on ground floor.
I will be there to welcome you, to prepare your breakfast and to answer any questions you might have. Apart from that you will have your privacy.
Other things to note
Jyderup town is rather quiet. Its strongest asset is without a doubt the picturesque surroundings. It is an ideal location for exploring the woods, birds, the lake, old ruins and castles. This can be explored hiking or biking. Moreover, it is only a 15 minutes drive from a perfect sand beach, great for families.
Jyderup itself has lots of supermarkets and small shops. When it comes to dining there’s quite a few very decent restaurants in the area around Jyderup only a short drive away. It will require a car to get to them. In walking distance you'll find simple eateries. I'll be happy to inform you more about this and book tables if you're interested.
