This is a very nice two bedroom house that is cozy and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to many parts of Seattle by car or light rail. Lovely retreat from my busy life. I recommend this without hesitation. Stephen

Veronica is an extraordinary host. She responsive, flexible, and gracious. She couldn't be better. The house is comfortable and well-outfitted, with a wonderful deck. The neighborhood is fantastic. Close to a great grocery, lots of good restaurants and coffee shops, and a wonderful bookstore. Also, it's near Lake Washington and Seward Park, and cities don't get much more scenic than those two parts of Seattle. If you're coming to Seattle, you couldn't do much better than this.

This place was great. We spent five weekdays there. Easy walk to the water and to the Both Ways Cafe for a great breakfast. The cafe also has a wall full of posters for local events and plays. The deck has a view of the water. When sitting on the deck it does feel like you are in a treehouse. The beds are very comfortable. Love the decor, a great mix of thoughtful touches. Would definitely stay here again.

We've stayed at Veronica's place previously and enjoyed it so much it was our first choice when we were again in Seattle. The house is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The kitchen is set up so meals can be easily prepared if desired, and Veronica provided snacks and a nice bottle of wine. The location is perfect - close enough for easy trips to Columbia City and nearby areas for grocery shopping and restaurants, and an easy walk down to the shoreline for a lovely stroll along the water. The deck provides great views and a relaxing place to spend the evening. Such a lovely retreat right in the middle of Seattle.

We enjoyed staying at Veronica's home so much. The space itself is warm and inviting, the neighborhood is terrific and Veronica herself is so lovely. She helped make our trip comfortable and enjoyable -- and we will return to this house the next time we visit Seattle. Five stars!

Staying at Veronicas's house was my first bad experience with airbnb. The house itself was nice, however veronica was a pain in the neck that really ruined the last two days of my trip. Apparently you have to house sit for her cat as well when you stay there and apparently her no pets rule extends to service dogs with permits. I thought airbnb was inclusive for people with disabilities. Furthermore after explaining this to her she yelled at me and called me a liar (not the kind of motivation you need on the way to mount st. Helens for a hike). Lastly, there was someone "taking care of the cat" in an apartment downstairs who i didn't know and it disrupted the privacy. I would not stay here again.

Response from Veronica:
Israel is clearly immature. His praise of the home, my hospitality and even the cat for all but the last day was high and joyful. Unfortunately, when my cat sitter who checked in on my cat and house while I was away (which I told Israel about before his arrival) told me they had a pit bull and my cat was missing, that they were playing loud music into the night and smoking pot and she didn't feel safe to stay at the house, I called Israel. He never asked or told me about the pit bull and became very defensive and unapologetic. I never called him a liar but I did call him on breaking almost all the house rules and being disrespectful of me and the home. They left the house a mess. I would never recommend him or them as guests and don't believe they left an honest review but rather a guilty slander because they got caught.

Veronica is a terrific host! She took the time to meet us at the house and show us around. The warm welcome went beyond that; she left us a bottle of wine, some snacks and a few breakfast items! We felt very at ease in her home the entire visit. I think it is perfectly located; outside the city but close enough that we could be downtown with just a 15-20 minute drive. We spent every evening and every morning on the spacious deck enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. You definitely need to make a stop at Both Ways Cafe for breakfast!
