The bamboo suite was really nicely decorated and very comfortable (ceiling fan + air-conditioning). The bamboo suite is set within a hotel which has really nice gardens with lots of seating and great variety of plants and flowers. It is close to the port (5 - 10min walk) and lots of restraunts and cafés nearby.

A really wonderful place to stay. It's a small personable hotel with a wonderful garden that overlooks the sea and an Ancient Greek temple. The gardens are lovely to spend relaxing time in. Dagmar and all the staff are friendly, relaxed and super helpful. You're not hiring an apartment but a lovely suite which is located in the gardens separate from the hotel The hotel is very close to a small beach and mini market. And it's a five mins to the town.

We loved having our own special apartment tucked away within the beautiful gardens of the Rastoni hotel. The room is lovely, very clean and tranquil, with an excellent en suite shower room. The wonderful gardens are so pretty and set up to give multiple private areas for the guests to enjoy. The hostess is delightful, friendly and very helpful, and we enjoyed eating our lovely buffet breakfasts in the garden. The great location is in a peaceful spot just a very short walk to everything in Aegina Town, including the restaurants, shops and ferry. It's a lovely island to visit and we'll be back. Many thanks!

This was exactly the place we were looking for when we booked the Bamboo Suite. Everything was unique and so delightfully personal. We were recommended great places to eat and the best ways to explore the island. Really a great choice and my exact type of boutique service. Forget any other hotels this is the place.

My husband and I stayed in Athens and Hydra and this was the best place! The accommodations were perfect and we enjoyed the breakfast as well. The garden is huge and lovely to walk through.

Upon booking, we did not realise that Rastoni is in fact a small hotel. Although we didn't actually get to meet Angeliki, there is one lady (apologies, I forget her name, but certainly not her friendly nature!) who runs the hotel day to day and was very helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. She was able to provide information on the island and advice on where to rent bikes, cars etc. to get around. The bamboo suite is separate from the main hotel building, and is quite a unique building. The room was comfortable and provided a very personal feel, while having the conveniences of a hotel (fresh beach towels, a reception desk etc.) The breakfast was good, providing a selection of cold meats and cheese, fruits, cereals, baked goods, yoghurt and preserves. The grounds themselves are the most impressive part of Rastoni, as it feels like real care and attention has been given to the gardens. Sitting out under the shade of the trees in the daytime sun, or out in the morning sunshine for breakfast, it provides a lovely backdrop. The island itself is very small and has a laid-back feel to it. It does not feel overly touristy, aside from the immediate waterfront at the port. The two beaches within walking distance of the hotel were smaller than expected - the southernmost beach being very small and the northern beach being larger but very thick with seaweed. We found ourselves travelling to Marathonas for the beach - again small, but very quiet and we saw workers beginning to clean up the beaches presumably for the main tourist season. The hotel was very close to the port and easy to find, even with a big suitcase in tow.
