Place was great for our purposes - quick business trip. As advertised in a central location and a good building. Easy access and stay.

The location can't be beat and it's a charming apartment. The kitchenette was an awesome amenity for when we wanted to cook using the local ingredients we picked up from the markets nearby and co-op just down the street. And when you want to go out to eat good luck deciding where to go because there are SO many amazing options. A couple cons: The apartment gets warm even on cooler days where the high is only in the low 60s and the windows face out to an enclosed rooftop area with equipment that gets noisy and puts off heat. You can't leave the windows open while you're out because of the lack of security from other tenants having access to that rooftop. Yet, even when you open the windows, the equipment heat doesn't allow for a lot of cooling and the noise of the equipment turning on/off was enough to wake me up here and there throughout the night. If I could have kept the windows shut the space would have been perfect for what I needed.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place. On the positive side: the apartment decor is cute, the location is great, the bed is comfy, and the team at Pillow is quick to respond! On the negative side: This apartment was really dirty; there was dust on all of the surfaces (the bedside table, the baseboards, the shelves, the credenza, the mirrors, the lamp shade, lamp base, etc), and a few strands of hair on the bed. It desperately needs a deep clean and a repaint of the walls. Outside of the realm of the host (but still worth mentioning), the hallway carpet smells like it needs a cleaning and there was dog poop mashed into the carpet on the stairs. (The team at Pillow did provide an additional cleaning of the studio which was super nice! But the apartment still needs a deeper clean). Value: If I had only paid $60 or $70/night, I would be far less annoyed with the situation... but at $382 for a two-night stay, I expected more. It felt like a rip off, and I honestly wish I had stayed in a hotel or different Airbnb instead.

Pricey for what you get, but a nice place to sleep for a night or two while exploring the city.

Great location, easy entry, and owner was easy to deal with. The downsides are that the shower was dirty with multiple used bars of soap and the apartment is really hot. No AC or fans and the windows open to an enclosed rooftop area without much air flow. We stayed on a cool night with all the windows open and it was extremely warm inside. Overall, it's a cute little space that is in a GREAT location.

David's place is perfectly situated in the heart of Cap Hill. It's a small studio, but perfect for those who spend their travel time out exploring the city (vs lounging in their digs). Studio was clean and quiet (we were there Sun - Wed). The neighborhood was lively - but not noisy. We walked everywhere. There are loads of great spots in the neighborhood for coffee/food/drinks. The property is managed by a property management company - my only grievance there is that you don't get the personal touch that makes airbnb so great (I love talking to whomever I am renting from, getting their recommendations, learning a bit about them!). I never talked to anyone, just a text with check in/out instructions. It's just a personal preference (I seek out individuals vs property management co's) :). Great value for the neighborhood :). Would recommend.
