Built in the late 1700's, Ceilwyn is set in the hills of mid Wales with spectacular views and within close proximity to the coast. Located on the Glyndwr way and only a few miles from the Snowdonia National Park.

A very peaceful rural location yet within ten minutes from the market town of Machynlleth.

Machynlleth has a variety of good places to eat, a leisure centre and a busy street market on Wednesdays.

A great place to unwind and relax in undiscovered Mid-Wales.

Highly recommended, it first feels in the middle of nowhere but it's very central and so lovely and peaceful at the cottage. limited cell coverage but UK O2 seemed to work on occasion, very comfortable and clean and quaint. so much to explore within an hour's drive from the cotta…

Response from Joe And Pat:
Thanks for your nice review, so glad the sun was out! Strange about mobile reception as you can see the masts on the far hill and most people get full signal. Perhaps Vodafone is not as good? O2, Three and several others are full bars. Anyway I hope it wasn't too much of an inconvenience.

The reviews we read were accurate: a comfortable, clean, attractive, well-equipped and memorably ancient cottage adjoining the owners' smallholding far up a lovely, very secluded hillside eight or nine miles east of Machynlleth. We had a very agreeable, relaxed long weekend, desp…

Absolutely stunning location and charming rustic cottage. Well located for all the attractions in Snowdonia. Very quiet and secluded, I don't think we saw another car all week other than a couple of farm pick ups.

Friends had recommended this cottage. Very well-equipped, I've not often been to places with such a complete kitchen/kitchen utensils. The house has two conservatories where you can sit and enjoy the light, and, in the backside conservatory, the fantastic view of the hills and gr…

Ceilwyn is such a lovely cottage on the hill with fantastic view. We had such a wonderful stay. Before our trip, Joe sent through some detailed guidance on how to find Ceilwyn, which was very handy. Although it is on the hill, the drive up was not bad at all. We managed to find…

We have lived in mid Wales for many years and have a great love for the countryside. We are very family orientated and have children and grandchildren in the area.
