It has a deck that wraps around the north and east sides with outdoor seating. Free WiFi/Internet. Speed is 50mbps...fast! Separate private entrance. Off street parking.
NO TV/Flat screen/Cable.

The kitchen: granite counter top, refrigerator, gas oven/stove top, ample cabinets, slate tile flooring, broom closet, table, and chairs. A microwave, toaster, tea pot and coffee maker are also available. Cookware, dishes and utensils are also provided along with basic cooking condiments.

Living room is cozy with maple wood flooring, a queen size futon sleeper couch, chairs, table, and a north facing window. We provide some games, DVDs, our local tabloids, and information on local hikes, restaurants, sites, and events.

Bedroom has an awesome Natural Latex foam queen size bed, solid maple Pottery Barn bed frame, maple wood flooring, built-in closet, sitting area, and a west facing window. Entrance on either side of the bed is a little snug. See photo. A sliding glass door allows access to the outside deck, which has privacy screening.

Bathroom has a full size bathtub and shower as well as a wall heater. The flooring is slate tile. We provide a hair dryer. The hot water tank is thirty (30) gallons, plenty of hot water for a nice hot shower. For multiple showers, users might need to shorten their duration of their shower just a bit, especially in the winter. Since we are in Arizona, water conservation is always appreciated.

Juana's place was very nice and we had a great stay! She was very thorough with all the information we could have needed. We got in from the Grand Canyon and it was the perfect place to rest up until we got back on the road. Definitely recommend.

Juana and Scott are very kind and the communication with them is smooth. The house is very clean and it's easy to feel at home. Really cozy & comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed and pillows are comfortable. You can enjoy a small private balcony from the bedroom. In the house, you can find lots of information about the nearest hotspots. We recommend it!

Juana User ProfileJuana is a superhost.

My husband, Scott, and I have been in the Healing Arts field for over 25 years. We live intentional lives. We are not afraid of rolling up our sleeves and jumping into life. We have raised two amazing girls. We were founding parents of our local Waldorf inspired charter school. We have created an urban homestead with an organic garden and chickens.

I am really into the nutrient dense, properly prepared whole foods. We make our own bone broths, Kvass, Kombucha, sauerkraut, sprouts, and, of course, we built this studio apartment ourselves. Scott is also an artist. He finds that life is his canvass. He has expressed his artistic self through sewing our girls their own footy pajamas, cooking his famous "sunset" meals (never to be repeated), and creating fine art oil paintings.

What can I not live without, travel! My father tried to talk me into dropping out of high school to send me around the world traveling. I was born in Mexico and have traveled extensively throughout Mexico. When I was thirteen I traveled, with two older sisters, throughout Europe for three months. We mostly camped and met a lot of people. I have been to Central and South America and across the South Pacific. Once we had kids, I realized we had to keep figuring out ways to afford to travel. Besides camping we have stayed in KOA's, Youth Hostels, International Seafarers Inns, in people's homes in Costa Rica and, of course, our Airbnb experience. I love the non-traditional. I love immersing into the culture of wherever we are by using local transportation and mingling with the locals.

What else can I not live without, nature! Nature is where we go to recharge. Northern Arizona is just magical. I call Flagstaff our "base camp". We have so much unique natural beauty within an hour's drive in any direction you travel. Also, in six hours we can be at the beach in Mexico, or if we head north, the heart of the Rocky Mountains or the Canyonlands of Utah. We have space to explore who we are at our cores out here in the American Southwest. And, if we need an airport, we have that too!

We did Imogene Pass Run once again in September! It was my forth and Scott's third. It is a 17.1 mile race from Ouray, Colorado to Telluride, Colorado. We summit at over 13,000'. I am proud to say that we (the entire family) all made it up and over last year!! This year it was just Scott and I. We both shaved off time once again. We were very pleased with ourselves. It was a glorious day :-)

We are constantly exploring what it means to have a meaningful life. One thing we have learned is that we just have to keep showing up and trust.

We have been booking up quickly with amazing guests. Contact us soon to reserve your bit of paradise with us!
