Absolutely no smoking, no pets

No fires in the fireplaces upstairs (bedroom fireplaces have no chimney!) but you are welcome to use the wood stoves in winter.

We recommend wearing shoes outside at all times! We've done lots of construction over the years (especially around the barns) and there may be glass, nails or sharp things that have been missed!

The lower barn has some structural issues, plenty of sharp edges, etc. - please stay away from that entire structure.

There is a pool table, foosball and ping pong table for use in the upper barn. Please make sure the covering is put back over the tables when you have finished using it.

The windows on the front and back side of the house do not open. Those on either side do and screens are in place/available. Please be careful when opening/closing windows as this is a very old house and the windows are original, heavy and could squish fingers if not careful!

We request that guests leave the house 'broom clean' and simply leave beds that have been used un-made and towels hung in the bathrooms. We will take care of all the laundry.

Excellent property and excellent hosts. They made us feel very welcome from the time we booked until the time we left. Nice little welcome basket and tour of the house. The house and property are historic and incredibly charming. Worked great for my family and boys. Would highly recommend and will come back ourselves.

Ben and Janine went way beyond to make us feel welcome! We hosted our bridal party at this location for our wedding, and they were kind enough to let us scope out the area beforehand and answer all of our questions. Managing a wedding and keeping a bridal party happy is a lot to juggle, so we were particularly appreciative of everything they did to help us keep things running smooth (including mailing items that were left behind after!). They had plenty of small touches that made us feel particularly welcome, and I am so grateful of them as hosts! In regards to the place itself, it really is incredible. We were totally in love with the chickens (who are surprisingly not that loud in the morning for anyone concerned) and ultimately took most of our wedding photos here because it was just that breathtaking. The inside has so much character and is clearly well cared for, and it was immaculately clean when we arrived. Totally recommend!

We had a wonderful night at Janine and Ben's beautiful house! I am from Williamstown but no longer have a home to go back to with my family so this was perfect. The setting is wonderful and we loved the outside space. The first floor is very spacious with plenty of spots to relax and the feel of this historic home was wonderful. Janine was very easy to connect with about getting into the house etc and all was as advertised. We wanted to stay longer and are hoping to stay there again in the future!
