Geraldine's cottage is the most perfect experience for someone who would like to discover Nanyuki-Rift region. The cozy lovely woody house is perfectly located, with magnificent view on Mount Kenya, close from Timau town and Ngare Ndare forest. We had great time lighting fire, enjoying the calm and peaceful scenery, walking and hiking around. A must recommended place to go !

Response from Geraldine:
I do not have the cottage listed as having wifi. Only if you take your own dongle or use your own 3G hot spot from your phone. Fridge was not working so at menders.

A perfect getaway and the location is nice for many different activities. I'd recommend this place for groups, couples, or anyone just trying to find a quiet place to relax! I also appreciated the solar use and the water conservation.

Lovely place, quiet and with a great view of Mount Kenya. Perfect location for a relax weekend! The house is simple but very cozy. You can easily visit nice places around (Ngare Ndare forest, Samburu etc).

We had an amazing stay at Geraldine's despite not meeting her but the estate keeper, David was really helpful. I really loved the cottage as well as the environs and although I had read from previous reviews that you could see Mount Kenya from the cottage, I was still awestruck by the proximity and beauty of it. The cottage and the estate it sits on are very peaceful and I honestly don't believe the photos do the place justice. The cottage, especially the interior, is much nicer than it appears in the pictures. We brought along a bicycle for our 6 year old nephew and he had a great time cycling around the estate. I truly hope to visit again sometime.

Me, my gf and my parents had a lovely time in Geraldine's cottage. It was a perfect gateaway from everything in a peaceful and beautiful location. We could see Mount Kenya from our bed and hear nothing but the birds singing. The house runs off solar energy and has a log stove that makes the stay a lot cosier. The water heater also runs with a fire burner, all in all a real off the grid experience in Kenya.
