Tucked away in the Sahyadri hills, touching a beautiful lake & surrounded by lush greenery. Enjoy a swim with a breathtaking mountain sunset view or take a refreshing walk in the orchard or just relax in the gazebo with a book to leaf through.

The space

The villa rests on a 5 acre property, surrounded by beautiful fruit trees including mango, papaya, guava among others, flowering plants and the calm waters of the Vadiwale lake (which makes for a refreshing swim any time of day). The villa has one spacious bedroom and one semi-open loft room. It is attached to a huge studio (15 X 30 feet wooden floor) which can be used for yoga or meditation activities. Guests can also relax in the large sunken bath in lake facing master bathroom.

The farm is a labour of love created by artists and our wonderful caretaker couple is available at all times for any assistance.

Guest access

We provide comfortable mattress beds, bed linens and towels. If required we can provide raised real beds as well. No toiletries.
With countryside living, power cuts are common. We have a back-up generator and inverters to provide electricity.

There are 2 additional small cottages on the property which might or might not be occupied during your visit.

Other things to note

Indian monsoons are a great time to visit. The entire property turns into various shades of green and rain showers with the monsoon breeze make for an unforgettable experience. The fireflies before the monsoons is a highlight.
In winters enjoy the cold with bonfire and star lit skies and moonlit lake.

Stu's place is serenity in motion. We stayed in the main cottage, and it's open space plan is just perfect. There is one BIG room with 8 mattresses, so great to be together as one big group of friends or family. Additional space is available in the small loft like structure above. The whole property has been maintained beautifully, clean, green, with a glimpse of the lake below. The garden is perfect to chill in. The caretaker family is exceptionally sweet, and we'll mannered. All in all, Atul's place is for you, if you seek a quite stay amidst nature. What I found surprising is that the place is in the village, and I was a tad disappointed that it is so close to habitation, but once you step in, you can absolutely forget that there is an outside, since the place is big and is at the edge of the lake. I would gone again in a jiffy.

We booked TCT on very short notice. Atul was super accommodating, as were the caretakers at the villa. The place is as described, and the rains brought out the best in it. Our biggest relief was the fencing at the property as we took our dog along, and its always tricky to leave her to explore new places. Don't expect 24hr power, and round the clock service and you'll be fine. We had a great time, and hope to come back soon.

We thourghly enjoyed our family get together at the artist residency. Atul was a great host and Rajeev and his family took good care of us. The rains made the atmosphere heavenly. The description and the actual images are exact same. Directions given by Atul were accurate. Very creative and well maintained home. I would surely love to visit again :)

One of the best scenic lake in the Lonavala area. Hard to believe such a secluded place between Mumbai and Pune and still untouched. Avoid travelling in the dark as the place is a bit remote and mobile networks are not available.

Atul's property is what it says it is, an "artists villa". It's secluded, well kept and thoughtfully developed. It's a gem for someone who admires nature and wants a quiet time from all the noise. Though Atul wasn't there personally to host us, his staff took care of us very well, they were super efficient and cooperating. The food provided was although basic but so so delicious. We extended our stay by half a day and Atul was happy to cooperate with us. We eventually left the place with a heavy heart. I would like to return to this place, especially during the theatre fest. In all a very memorable experience for me and the rest of my gang.

Wonderful place to go for a quiet hideout and beautiful surroundings.. never knew such a place existed in maharasthra. Completely untouched and fresh and lovely. The host was very supportive and responsive and so were the home takers rajiv and his family.. it's a place used for theatre practice and hence Well maintained and pretty neat. Beautiful lake with clean water and hope the owner adds kayaks to his property soon.. Access is quite a challenge so beware that the last one hour is difficult and very challenging if in the night.. It's a one room huge space and ideal for friends who like to chill together in one space We had a bonfire set up and food at the outside.. good way to enjoy a starry night. Food is homemade and there is nothing for half hour around the property.. so plz do carry your essentials and basics and snacks.. Last but not the least.. the bathrooms are spacious and very very well maintained!! One even has a cool tub.

Good Place for PEACE of MIND and Very Good Hosts....!!! The property is quite good and peaceful. The hosts greeted us very well and were very understanding and helpful by all means. There is a lake nearby which is very clean and beautiful. Overall it is one of the better places to visit outside Mumbai for some rest and peace of mind. Its not a place for luxury, so considering that the price seems to be a little on the higher part.
