The apartment represents Brooklyn Brownstone living at its best. Built in 1891, the house is on a block designated as an historic landmark by the City of New York. The apartment is over 800 square feet and full of historical details and charms including extra high ceilings, parquet floors, original wood shutters, a claw foot tub and built-in cabinetry. Light pours in from the many windows.
The Neighborhood is full of kids playing on the street, grandmothers sitting on the stoops - families who have lived here for generations.
We are a very short walk to the subway (A and C trains at Utica Avenue). Lower Manhattan is only 20 minutes away.
Free Wifi. Easy on-street parking.
Interaction with guests
We both love meeting new people and love to advise visitors on the joys of New York City and Brooklyn. We live right downstairs from the apartment and our aim is to make your stay as enjoyable as possible
Other things to note
One of the best Neopolitan pizza places (Saraghina) is right around the corner. People come from all over the City to try it. If you stay in Bed-Stuy, either with us or elsewhere, it's a must. There's also a really great bar around the corner that has live music almost every night. It's owned by a Grammy award winner and it is a must see!
There is a twenty-four hour gourmet green grocer on the corner. We go there ALL the time to meet our food and sundry needs
A well-known Southern BBQ restaurant is just one block away, and several coffee shops serve excellent coffee and espressos.
No smoking or pets, please. And please respect your neighbors - please keep noise to a minimum, especially after 10 pm.
