Two large, interconnecting rooms - one with a kitchen in a cupboard and dining area. Sleeps 1 - 2 in a beautiful, spacious room on comfortable king size sofa bed which can quickly transform to create a living area to relax in. There are also 2 comfortable chair/beds suitable for children/occasional visitors.

Although within my flat, the layout allows the studio to function as a fully self contained unit.

The space

The self-contained studio flat is on the second floor of a 1904 Edwardian mansion block -no lift. It has been created from the two front reception rooms of my flat and retains some of the original features. It shares the internal entrance hall with my flat which is at the back of the apartment - I am close by to help if required.

Guest access

The studio should have everything you need but if you want access to a washing machine or anything else, just let me know.

There are many nearby local shops and amenities - gyms, swimming pool etc etc.

Interaction with guests

I love the studio, I love Highbury and I love London. I want you to get the most out of your stay here and will do what I can to help make that happen. I hope we will have a chance to spend some time together, perhaps share a bottle of wine? I have tried to provide what you will need but do want to know if anything is missing or needs to be improved both immediately or in the future and hope you will let me know if there is anything I can do to improve your stay.

Other things to note

If you are planning to chill out in the flat, in addition to the TV, you will find books about London and Great Britain, novels, cards and board games to keep you occupied. Maybe some cook books too...

The studio is in a quiet residential block so it is very important to be friendly and considerate to other residents in order to ensure that your stay is a positive experience not just for you but also for everyone who lives here.

Vertical sound insulation is poor in these old buildings so it is very important to be aware of this so as not to disturb the neighbours - people sleep in the rooms below so please no raised voices or banging at night as I have had occasional complaints since I started hosting.

You must also acknowledge
Must climb stairs - Studio is on the second floor.
Pet(s) live on property - I have a dog but it does not have access to the studio.
No parking on property - Parking is restricted between 8.30 and 6.30 weekdays and 8.30 and 1.30 Saturdays PLUS additional restrictions on Arsenal match and event days.
Some spaces are shared - Washing machine is in my flat but can be used with prior arrangement. I do not have a tumble drier.

This is a fantastic place to stay! We spent four night here and Pamela made us feel extremely welcome. She gave clear directions to the house from our arrival point (St. Pancras Station), and was easy to communicate with throughout our stay. The studio is compact but very clean, comfortable, and tastefully furnished. The main bed is a fold-out but was perfectly comfortable. Pamela welcomed us with wine in the evening and warmed croissants in the morning, and other refreshments like tea, milk, coffee etc were provided. The location is excellent: there are many great cafés and restaurants in the area, and there are tube stations within a 10min walk. The street and area are safe and very pretty. Highly recommend!

Lovely quiet spot that is handy to the centre of London - but enough out of the way to get a good night of sleep. Rooms are attractive with a nice street outlook. Sofa bed is so close to being a real bed that you won't even notice the difference. Pamela is most helpful as a host - even when our comings and goings made it hard to catch up.

Very well-equipped flat with a very nice location (one underground station from St-Pancras + underground line Victoria leading to the city center). Quiet area, park nearby with playground for the kids. Very nice landlord. If we had to come back, we would choose the same place without any doubt !

Pamela's home was perfect for our family of 4, comfortable beds, quiet but friendly building, great location and convenient tube station with yummy restaurants and good groceries nearby. Pamela and Izzy the wonder dog were wonderful hosts. Hope we can stay again with them!

I'm trained as an architect but my love of working with communities has taken over and I work as an independent advisor for residents living on estates earmarked for regeneration to help them engage with the process and negotiate the best possible deal for themselves and their community.

I love living in Highbury and I love London though I don't make as much use as I would like to do of all that is on offer here. I aim to change that, I'm inspired by the energy and enthusiasm of my guests!
