Two large, interconnecting rooms - one with a kitchen in a cupboard and dining area. Sleeps 1 - 2 in a beautiful, spacious room on comfortable king size sofa bed which can quickly transform to create a living area to relax in. There are also 2 comfortable chair/beds suitable for children/occasional visitors.
Although within my flat, the layout allows the studio to function as a fully self contained unit.
The self-contained studio flat is on the second floor of a 1904 Edwardian mansion block -no lift. It has been created from the two front reception rooms of my flat and retains some of the original features. It shares the internal entrance hall with my flat which is at the back of the apartment - I am close by to help if required.
The studio should have everything you need but if you want access to a washing machine or anything else, just let me know.
There are many nearby local shops and amenities - gyms, swimming pool etc etc.
Interaction with guests
I love the studio, I love Highbury and I love London. I want you to get the most out of your stay here and will do what I can to help make that happen. I hope we will have a chance to spend some time together, perhaps share a bottle of wine? I have tried to provide what you will need but do want to know if anything is missing or needs to be improved both immediately or in the future and hope you will let me know if there is anything I can do to improve your stay.
Other things to note
If you are planning to chill out in the flat, in addition to the TV, you will find books about London and Great Britain, novels, cards and board games to keep you occupied. Maybe some cook books too...
The studio is in a quiet residential block so it is very important to be friendly and considerate to other residents in order to ensure that your stay is a positive experience not just for you but also for everyone who lives here.
Vertical sound insulation is poor in these old buildings so it is very important to be aware of this so as not to disturb the neighbours - people sleep in the rooms below so please no raised voices or banging at night as I have had occasional complaints since I started hosting.
I'm trained as an architect but my love of working with communities has taken over and I work as an independent advisor for residents living on estates earmarked for regeneration to help them engage with the process and negotiate the best possible deal for themselves and their community.
I love living in Highbury and I love London though I don't make as much use as I would like to do of all that is on offer here. I aim to change that, I'm inspired by the energy and enthusiasm of my guests!
