Our large stand alone home has 2 airy king size bedrooms and a full shared bath. There is a full kitchen and a comfortable outdoor shared patio for morning coffee or dinner al fresco. Located in the heart of the town, and only 2 blocks from beach.

The space

The entire property is surrounded with plants and trees. There is a shared porch with a table and chairs where you could sit out and watch passersby or do some writing.

The house is two blocks from the beach along the river, and 3 short blocks from the center of town or the main/busiest part of the beach. There is a small grocery store next door where you can get everything from eggs to milk to beer, and a juice bar on the corner where you can get fresh fruit juice made in the mornings.

There is a laundromat around the corner from the house, the equivalent to a block and a half or so away, where you can take your things and have them wash/fold and pick up that same day.

We have wifi for an additional fee at the house or you can take your laptop into the center of town and sit at one of the more formal restaurants that has wifi. If you like long walks, Sayulita is the place for you. You can walk 20 feet to get your necessities or you can get lost for miles through the jungle and beaches. It's gorgeous.

Guest access

The entire house is all yours, the outdoor patio is shared with our house next door which belongs to our family and is restricted to our occasional guests. There is a small chance that someone will be renting there as well. If you are in interested in renting both houses please let us know.

Wifi is available for an additional $25 per stay.

Interaction with guests

We travel to and from Sayulita throughout the year and there is a chance we will not be around for your stay. We are always available via phone or email and have a property manager that will meet you with keys and can answer any other questions you might have during your stay.

Other things to note

You can rent golf carts from in town or a car in Puerto Vallarta for easy access to the beach and other parts of town, especially if you have kids. There is on-street parking available across from the house.

This is a wonderfully located casita right near the heart of Sayulita. Easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beach. The house is clean and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen and clean and functional bathroom including a shower. 2 well-sized bedroooms easily accommodate up to 4 guests. The only downside is that there is a fair amount of noise from the street at night.

The place is rustic by US standards, but is probably nicer than what most of the locals live in. I'm glad we chose it as it gave the trip an authentic feel that my friends in the luxury condo just didn't get. It's very close to everything which is good and bad. One night we decided that we were hungry at 2 am and found amazing tacos from a street vendor 150 feet away. But with that proximity to downtown comes noise and dust. It's on a constantly traveled dirt street, so it is always dusty unless it just rained, and there were cars driving by blaring music at all hours. If you want to be really close to the heart of Sayulita and the night life then this place is great. If you want a little more quite then look for something further from downtown.

We loved this charming house! The location was close to everything- beach, restaurants and shopping! Our hosts were incredibly kind, thoughtful and attentive!

The location was great - close to the beach, shops and restaurants. But we moved out after one day there because of some moments. First of all, we didn't have hot water when we arrived (I believe that it would be fixed in a day, the owner was responsive). Second, the toilet was leaking. And beside this major inconveniences, it was really noisy and dusty. And we saw a few insects (like big cockroaches). If you are used to a 'wild' living, it's gonna be ok. It was sad that it didn't work for us.

Our stay at Anna's place was good. The location to town is amazing and we made the place feel like home after a few days. The issues we had were that upon arrival the place was damp and so dusty. There were cockroaches in the shower and I personally went to the store and had to clean it out which was not ideal for the beginning of a vacation. Check in was easy and everything was good but the first moment was very disappointing. I would recommend this place for its closeness to town and safety but be prepared for it to not live up to the photos.

The description of the house is on point. It is spacious, the beds are comfortable and the AC works perfectly. It was very clean when we arrived and nothing was missing. The host responds very quickly to any questions. You don't even notice that they are not around. No one was renting the house next door so it was very private. The location is AMAZING! You are very close to town center, but not so close that it is a party next to your house. You can buy groceries, beer, really anything right at the corner. There is lots of parking even though you don't really need when that close to everything. It is not "quiet" though. The road is right in front of the house and it is sort of an open-air house (although there are walls and windows). There is constant traffic with the occasional very loud motocross bikes. It does get quieter at night. And if I would have been without my 7 months old baby, I don't think I would have added this to my comment... It's worth it for the location. Also, be prepared: if there is a town party when you are there, it is going to happen almost in front of the house on the other side of the river and the speakers are VERY loud! There was a small mother's day party when we were there and we had trouble hearing each other speak on the porch of the house! They sure know how to party in Sayulita. We wished we could have gone but baby was sleeping (trying to...). An other problem with the house is the dust. LOTS of dust. We cleaned the porch one morning so it would be ready for the evening, but it was back to being super dusty in the afternoon. It gets in the house too. Even though we were careful with closing doors and windows. But then again, I don't think I would have cared so much if I were without my baby (him wanting to be on the floor crawling constantly + us having to be home every single evening). Overall, I recommend this place. Super comfy, in the center of things, good host reponses. And you really have to consider my negative points in the context of travelling with an infant (or if you really want a quiet getaway).
