900 sq ft bungalow with an open floor plan. We love to walk and if you do too this a great space for you. 10 minute walk to Crescent Lake park, 12 min to Starbucks, 17 min Tampa Bay and 20-25 minute walk to downtown St. Pete. Bright & Clean!
This is our future retirement home. My husband and I purchased this 100 year old bungalow in February 2015 and have been slowly renovating it so please don't expect it to be perfect, because it definitely is not - but it's super cute!!
Not all the rooms have new paint, some need trim put up on the ceilings, appliances are not new, etc.
It is clean and it is comfortable and the location is super awesome!
You will have the entire house.
There is a laundry room outside in the back of the house with a washer/dryer. Because we do visit often there isn't a ton of availability but we're happy to have you there when we're off doing other things!
There is a small backyard that is not quite usable. We will be adding an addition to the house so we haven't fixed it up at all.
Interaction with guests
We will not be available to come visit with you during your stay but I am available via phone/email/text consistently.
Other things to note
Of course there is wifi!
There is no cable TV but we do have an antennae and the TV gets in most local channels - a total of about 10. It is also a smart TV so it's set up to access Netflix and Hulu. We also have Apple TV.
There are actually two full bathrooms but everyone gets a better shower if they are taken one at a time so we only listed the second bathroom as a half bath.
If you would like to bring your dog please let us know when you are inquiring about your dates.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but just be aware that the fence outside is not dog escape proof - so if your dog is a runner do not let them out without a leash.
Be sure to properly protect your dog against fleas. Florida is a mecca of fleas and your dog will pick them up after just a few minutes outside.
Please no persons under the age of 12 in the home. It is in no way child proof. Renter must be 30 or older - guests 12 and over.
Of course no smoking in the house but you are welcome to step outside and smoke.
Well behaved dogs are always welcomed - please advise if you will be bringing your dog. No cats please - we are highly allergic.
Limit of four souls only in the house. This means 4 people and no pets or 3 people and one pet ... you get the idea ;) .
On the cleaning fee: I really wish this was called a maintenance fee more so than a cleaning fee. Our wonderful partner, Cara, makes sure our home is clean and maintained to ensure that each guest has the best possible experience when they come to visit. That is why we have a cleaning fee. Please don't consider this a "someone will clean up after me" fee.
When a guest leaves things untidy her work moves out of a “maintenance" mode to a “clean up after the guest" mode – this takes more time and costs more money all around.
If you and your party would kindly take care to leave the house in as close to the condition as you found it that would be greatly appreciated. For instance: cleaning and putting away dishes that you use, putting away the futon if you use it, cleaning out the coffee pot if you use it, cleaning any dishes you use, cleaning up any crumbs left behind, putting things back in their place, etc.
Stripping all beds and leaving all used linens and towels in the laundry room outside is greatly appreciated.
If you break anything or irreparably stain something (towel, linen, furniture, tablecloth, etc.) please let me know. Accidents do happen but it's no fun to find out after a guest has left.
This is a home that we cherish and we greatly appreciate your party treating it with care.
Gracias, Merci & Thank You! -debra
