La casita is centrally-located and unless you want to explore areas out of town, you shouldn't need to use a taxi at all, as long as you enjoy walking. It's up quite a steep hill so be prepared for a workout! La casita was clean, with a well-equipped kitchen which allowed us to cook several meals during our stay. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of towels. David gave us lots of tips about what to do and where to go when we checked in. All in all, it was a great stay.

Frances and her husband were amazing host. They were accommodating and very prompt with communication. The casita was very safe and comfortable. The property is located within walking distance of everything. I had such a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend booking with Frances if you are considering staying in San Miguel.

Frances was a great host. She was kind enough to accommodate later check-in and check-out times. The house is well located, just a short walk from the center of San Miguel.

We loved the convenience of this location and the good value. The king sized bed was very comfortable and roomy for the two of us. The kitchen was equiped for our needs. We mostly ate out at the great restaurants but did cook breakfast and used the microwave and french press for coffee (Go to Companio bakery to buy their ground coffee!) Loved the decor and clean house. It was very good to come home to after our daily walk about town every day! We definitely recommend staying here and would rent it again ourselves!

Perfectly livable and has everything needed. Francis was responsive and helpful with all questions. You'll love the hill if you enjoy exercise. Older Mexican home with the typical tile floors, including the stairs, so caution needed if unsure on your feet.

Frances provided us with a can of well appreciated coffee, and gave us a run thru of necessary info. Not unlike the rest of SMA, the house is "a good workout" to get to on your return home. It is situated in a mixed/mostly working class locals who are very cordial and friendly; as were all of our contacts with the locals. The Mercado at the bottom of the street is a wonderful experience. Getting fresh flowers is highly recommended.

Thanks for the suggestions, Tony. We'll let the housekeeper know about the cleaning issues, and will see that the bedding is replaced where needed.

I'm an American retiree married to a Mexican artist. We have lived in San Miguel since 2008, in a house that had previously been our vacation home. Best decision we ever made. Hope our guests will love San Miguel as much as we do.
