We keep the house very clean and tidy and expect you will leave the house the same.
This is an incredible house, in an incredible location, and with an amazingly organized host. The house is enormous, well-maintained, on nice grounds that overlook a lake, and with many amenities. The house comfortably fits two families or a group of 8-9 people, with lots of space for everyone to stretch out. The beds are comfortable and there were many lovely amenities. Kim is a wonderful and organised host and Scott also looked after us. She suggested restaurants and we made a reservation for a place in Arrowtown, which was very nice. Both families loved the house and commented on the physical beauty of lake hayes. This is a terrific AirBnB property.
It's nice house with big yard! We're enjoying the breakfast at terrace very much! Kids tried the kayaking in the very clear lake! It's convenient to go supermarket in the town! The kitchen is full of equipment and seasoning and ingredients, very easy to prepare our dinner! Kim's very sweet to convert one room with twins bed for 2 boys and replied our email very fast to help us to find the good Restaurants! It's good experience to stay this house!
This place is delightful! And Kim was a brilliant & generous host. There were how-to cards/notes around the home, e.g. on how to use the kitchen appliances, where best dry your snow boots & skis. We stayed during the "coldest winter in 9 years" but the house was always so warm! 2 x fireplaces and heaters everywhere! The hot water didn't run out, even when various people were having their morning showers. Lots of living areas! Our fave was the split-level alcove w its own fireplace and cable-fuelled TV. Call shotgun on the Turret room - the most memorable view! Second best options are the room at the end of the hallway (fab view of front garden and the lake etc) and the main bedroom near the back door (up the little stairs). The view from the front is the perfect combination of picturesque Lake Hayes, dainty lights of Queenstown, and the snow-capped mountains. Despite being on a main road, we heard no pollution from the passing cars. Plus, its easier to get to/find driving from the airport or from a semi-groggy dinner at Amisfield Estate (recommended!). At night, don't forget to look up as you can more of the milky way here, I kid you not. Stunning! Thank you, Kim!!
