We stay here while participating in the Baie Sainte-Marie cycling Grand Fondo ....absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed the lake, kayaks, BBQing, and sunsets on the porch. Clark was a great host and he was quick to respond to all questions. This is a wonderful area and the people are warm and friendly. Thank you, Scott, Karen, Jonathan and Susan

I spend the summer in Lake Annis, and I had a wonderful time. It's such a beautifull place. The cottage is charming and cozy, the lake is warm, everybody is welcoming, kayaking with the loon was awesome... And there is plenty to visit around. People from Quebec came to visit and everybody liked it very much. We will keep a very warm souvenir of the time with spend there!

Our family of four, kids are 11 and 13 really enjoyed our unplugged days at the cabin. One of the reasons I picked this place was no Wifi. Plenty to do without the temptation of the net. Kids loved the short walk to the lake and swam every day, even when it poured rain:-) Kayaking was great fun and tea on the back deck marvellous! My husband caught enough fish for supper every night. For us this was a perfect little getaway. Communication with Clark was easy and he always responded promply to my questions!

Angela and I stayed at the cottage for a mini honeymoon in October. This is an amazing place to disconnect and unwind for a few days, very peaceful and quiet. I kayaked on gorgeous Lake Annis, just a couple minutes walk, and we enjoyed local sites and seafood by car. Beds are really comfortable, the space is cozy, we loved making a big fire with the provided wood and reading our books. The place is rustic so it took us a bit to get the hang of things - heat comes from making a good sized fire or the provided space heaters, and the bathroom is in the detached garage. Clark was an amazing host, very responsive and helpful. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

This was our second time staying here and we will be back again! We really like Lake Annis, and the cottage is adorable. It rained for part of our stay, but it allowed us to cook a turkey dinner and enjoy it in front of the fire. Clark checked in with us on the first day to make sure everything was going well. Everything was as we expected!

We had a fantastic time at the cottage and exploring Lake Annis and the surrounding area. A lot of history and good vibes in this place, and all the amenities we needed to thoroughly enjoy ourselves were there. Nestled in a cute little "village" of cottages, it was easy to forget there are neighbours it was so peaceful and quiet. Access to the lake was easy and it offered great swimming and paddling. Clark was great to communicate with and our arrival was smooth and easy. We'll be back!

This cottage was amazing! The space was very charming, and I cannot wait to return. We enjoyed our morning coffees on the front deck, and then moved to the back deck for supper. There is plenty to do in the area. If you want to get outside there is a trail just off the back yard for walking or biking, and from that there is a lake to swim and kayak in. We took the kayaks out for an hour and a half - the water was like glass it was so calm. For later in the afternoon, the hammock is a perfect place to read and have a tea or beer. There were so many books and magazines available to read - the Popular Sciences from the 1960's was a popular before bed read for us. The house was clean, the sheets were fresh, towels for bathing and swimming were available. There were plenty of dishes, although it did take me a while to find everything I was looking for while cooking. It was very warm this weekend (30 degrees), so we didnt have a chance to use the fireplace, but it was very tidy and there was a protective grate around it so no one accidentally fell in. We met Clarks father on the beach and he made sure everything was good at the cottage and then told us about the lake. Clark checked in with us via email upon arrival and after we had left. It was easy for us to check in and we had no issues while staying at the cottage. We will be back for sure!

Hi there, I love travelling and have used airbnb many times before on some of my adventures in Canada, Africa and through Europe. I think its a great thing when you are travelling when you can find a place that feels like home and is less expensive than a hotel room. I have lived in Ottawa for three years after moving there from Nova Scotia and have come to love the city. No matter what time of year, there is always something to do and people are more laid back than in Toronto or Montreal, which coming from a rural area, I can appreciate! I do miss the ocean and salt air and me and my wife maintain a cottage and house in Nova Scotia, where we hopefully will be able to retire. I work as an engineer for the Royal Canadian Air Force and my wife Jess is a social worker. We both love travelling, meeting new people and the outdoors and would love to get the chance to welcome you to one of our properties!
